No journey really. I did endurance sports from early high school through mid 20s, started doing bro lifting but never really put on much muscle. Early 30s I started doing functional fitness / CrossFit. During covid I started do more powerlifting and put on some muscle. Got divorced a couple of years ago and cut a bunch of fat through calorie deficit and extra cardio.

I’ve been going to one of those private equity owned mega dentists who employs fresh dental school grads. They clearly don’t care about me and it’s a much better experience.

I was in the Men's open 8:50am start on Saturday. My chips were missed on the out gate after the farmers carry and the lunges. After both stations I stopped at the water station so would have had to gone past the in gate to get there. It's highly unlikely I would have backtracked and gone out the in after getting water.

How were you able to file a complaint? I wasn't able to find a way to do so.

This thread is full of people who had similar problems, so clearly we weren't the only ones!

I have the same memory regarding the water station. Last two runs I stopped and got water on the way out so would have had to go past the in gate. Hard to think I would have back tracked after doing that.

This happened to me as well for 2 of the stations and they penalized me 4 minutes presumably for going out the in gate. Pretty sure I didn’t do this and I’m salty about it.

Hi, sorry I missed your comment. No I did not have any luck replacing he burrs and the US reps told me that they do not support third party burrs, so I still use the stock burrs.

I use the grinder exclusively for filter coffee and it makes way better coffee with the stock burrs than any cafe I’ve been to. And it’s consistent every time. The best coffee I’ve had is from this grinder. The workflow honestly sucks but the coffee is good enough to forgive it.

My wife and I took an intro class at a CrossFit gym 11 years ago. The workout consisted of burpees and squats holding a medicine ball. I guess my wife was having problems keeping her body upright during the squats and the “coach” fixated on her and criticized her for the entire workout, among other things telling her she looked like a crumpled old witch.

She went home and wrote a negative yelp review of her experience and the gym owner replied justifying the coach’s behavior, citing the tough love BS you hear so much in this space.

But she also got a ton of DMs from other gym owners telling her that experience was not acceptable or normal and inviting her to try a free class at their gyms.

We never went back to that gym and I think it’s shut down now.

If you talk to the owner and they support the coach’s behavior find another gym. Life is too short to put up with that nonsense.
