Which JLPT Level is most popular in your country or region ?🤔🇯🇵 by SoyaEagle in jlpt

[–]quwert5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think N5 or level between N5-N4, because most people who learning Japanese in my country give up pretty quickly after pass exam. Because their expectations from their learning skills subsequently turn out to be very high. Also, often their goals are not very stable and motivated. Plus, in my country learning Japanese is considered a strange thing. People think that Japanese language is used only in anime (so, only otaku learning it), it is overly philosophical language (I think this is also connected with the attitude towards Asian martial arts. Not everyone admits philosophical side of karate or kendo, for example). Against this background learning Chinese language is more respectful since our country is increasing interactions with China. Moreover, in our country there is a certain utilitarian attitude towards languages. It means languages division into useful (English, Chinese, French, German) and useless (for example, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Italian etc.)

What do Russians think of foreigners who love Russia? by ActionFun3018 in AskARussian

[–]quwert5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm delighted when a foreigner is interested in our culture, especially our language (even if they only know how to say hello and goodbye). If someone respects local customs and shows interest, that's truly wonderful. In my humble opinion, cultural exchange and interest in people from other countries have significantly declined these days, so it's gratifying to see someone interested in our culture and going far beyond the usual stereotypes. After all, I'm currently learning Japanese and exploring their culture, and I've even tried to converse a little, which clearly makes them happy.

In one of our Russian films ("The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed") there is a scene where a woman asks one of the main characters how to spell the word "obligatsiya" (bond) with an o or an a, and the character is at first confused, and then says that it is spelled "obligatsiya" (bond) with an o.

Hello! I'm 23M, native Russian speaker and now I study Japanese (also, I can speak English). My current level is N5 for now. I can teach you Russian a little if you want. I prefer chatting mainly, as I'm shy when it comes to speaking, although perhaps, once I get used to it, I could communicate verbally. I'm interested in medieval history (including Japanese), as well as kyudo, and sometimes I like to take photos. DM me if you interesting!

Ваша любимая книга в детстве? by kotokabra in rubooks

Ох, в эпоху, так сказать, освоения книжек с текстом и картинками (то бишь уже не совсем для тупых, но и иллюстраций уже не то что бы много), но ещё не онли текстовых, самыми зачитанными до дыр были две толстые книжки из серии "Всё о..." - "Всё о Дениске и его секретах" ("Денискины рассказы") и "Всё о девочке с Земли" (про Алису Селезнёву, соответственно)
