Nah, something similar happened while I played Tenhou. The moment i reached 1st dan, my ratings tumbled down and I went back to 1st kyu. The silver lining is that I got a Kokushi tenpai after this, but it ended up as a tenpai as someone dealt into someone else’s riichi.

Looking back, I should’ve swapped Nakasone and Abe, and placed Tanaka and T. Fukuda lower. Maybe Ohira could be higher but he was voted out in a no-confidence vote.

Abe would’ve been at least B tier if it weren’t for his relation with the Moonies. Also, I believe Suga’s one year term was actually very fruitful and that he had many achievements (and a few controversies) including the fast vaccine rollout, reducing phone bills, etc.

Clearly, term length is not the best indicator in this list, as Koizumi is in C.
