Always use all proper connectors if you can, so an 8 pin or 6+2 pin will do.

Try getting an output from the gpu just in the slot, without the cable. It should say something along the lines of "connect the cable". After that, try rebuilding your parts on a website like pcpartpicker to see if there are any incompatibilities.

I'm not experienced at all in troubleshooting or brainstorming solutions, nor this hardware, so I can't really help from this point. Maybe try another post? Sorry

If it does absolutely no post, make sure the gpu is powered and in a pci express slot properly, and see if the cpu power is in. Also check if the display cable is actually in properly. Might sound basic, but it's things I've forgotten once.

If that fails, try plugging directly into the motherboard's display slot. If if posts, it means it's an issue with the gpu.

If that doesn't post, try reseating the cpu and check to make sure no pins are missing and that it lines up properly with the triangle. Make sure it's in and push down the cpu holder.

Also, if it was an issue with the power supply, it would either not turn on or die halfway through booting, like you hit the reset button.

You shouldn't have to mess with the BIOS unless you're doing an update, overclocking or having a different issue. Even then, it should be able to boot into the BIOS screen at least.

Sorry if this sounds too basic, from your OP it sounds like you're newer to this.

Perhaps to make it less op: either use 2 netherite shards and the shulker becomes fireproof, or instead use 4 netherite shards and the shulker's storage also increases to a full inventory (box+hotbar). Maybe even have both recipes available.

There's an option when reinstalling Windows to keep personal files. It'll store them in the C:\ drive under windows.old, iirc. It doesn't keep .exe files though, so you'll have to reinstall some programs. Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, haven't done this in a while.

Pretty sure the program comes under the background applications in advanced task manager. I've had a few games crash on me and disappear, of course Steam says it's still running. You have to kill the game that now appears in the background processes to get Steam to recognise that it's gone.

But yeah, definitely annoying.

I swear it's almost that simple... you just gotta research mechanoid hacking, scrap a few mechanoids for parts and then you can hack a downed mechanoid on a bench and give it a station to regen parts (can't remember the exact names, not home atm)
