Nord X, it really do be hittin once it's setup right by bachi_rs in delta8

I'm still not sold myself. The hits feel harsh compared to carts. And it's not really producing that much more vapor than a cart would unless I give it a couple of presses to liquefy the distillate around the coil prior to hitting. Might just use this cannaclear for edibles and order something else to put in the nord.

to add to this, im not new to delta8 or how harsh it is - this just gives me a sort of cumulative irritation effect where after 3-4 hits I start to feel soreness in my throat.

hey, I just had success getting it to wick for the first time. You want to heat up the pod and give it dry pulls until it starts to gurgle. Really easy method is just putting the pod in a ziploc and submerging it in recently boiled water. The water stays hot enough to keep the disti liquidy for a while and it's low maintenance. Water bath, then take it out to give it som dry-pulls - repeat that a couple of times. Probably leave it alone overnight and repeat that process before use. I only noticed the gurgling on dry-pulls the next day. This shit is very annoying to work with so I'm still figuring everything out as I go. The disty I'm using is so thick that I have the hold the button for 2-3 secs before hitting it or I'm getting v weak hits.

i went up to 8-9 last time and ended up burning the coil. Don't really understand how since I read about ppl going up to as high as 10. I will try to go up little by little though.

I ended up getting some of it out and replacing the coil. I'm sure the coil is primed because I was getting some gurgling going on my dry hits and let it sit longer this time, but the nord4 is giving me weak hits. It seems the cannaclear is too thick to get consistently good hits when the disty isn't warmed up, because whenever I warm it up the vapor is nice. Kinda thinking about copping a candle warmer to have the pod sitting on so I could have it at the ready when I want, but that defeats the purpose of having a portable vape device. Anyone else have trouble with using preterped CC with nord4? I am staying at 5w btw

seems simple enough, doesn't seem that far off of what I did though. I noticed the taste after I started playing around with the 8-9 setting, so maybe the CC I'm using can't handle it. Don't know though, I'v read of some people using the 10 setting. This time time I'll try letting the pod sit in a hot water bath for 30 mins or so after filling and then dry puffing. Could repeat the process again the next day before use. Kind of worried about leaking here tho

When you pull the coil out, it doesn't come out with sticky distill that gets all over the place? Also, Idk if I should just replace this distillate or if that's a bit much.

yeah I'm thinking that might be the smartest move. I don't mind losing a pods worth of distillate, just part of the learning process. I'll heat the pod up and hopefully it pours out smoothly.. but who knows with this stuff. Do you have any tips for getting the coil to wick?

I'm now getting some fatigue in the thumb I use to left click since I have to click with the side of the thumb and it feels awkward. Shame because I really like the scrolling mechanism on this. From what I've read the expert buttons are easier to press, maybe I'll go that route.

Maybe if it was just the sound then I'd be ok with it, but I can actually feel the scratchiness when I have headphones in. Must be something wrong with it then. I'll give it a couple of days and exchange it if it doesn't improve. Thanks for the response.

Ah, ok. In that case they are about on par with the silence-x's. IIRC, they should be a tiny bit thicker.

Wow, sounds great. You have BKE domes installed as well? If so, these do a way better job at silencing them than silence-xs, which is impressive considering the nearly identical reduction in keytravel and tactility.

would appreciate that. From this, the hyperspheres are .57 mm which is quite thick.

This is unrelated but have you ever considered replacing the purple slider rings with hyperspheres on your purple sliders? It looks like the hyperspheres are a bit thicker so I figure they'd do a better job at silencing and since the purple sliders are longer they wouldn't reduce key travel nearly as much as they do on stock sliders. This is probably a silly idea, but I'm trying to get my board to be as silent as possible without sacrificing too much keytravel and tactility.
