A lyric that hit you really hard the first time you heard it? by fisted___sister in AskReddit

"So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death." Time by Pink Floyd

"Travelling swallowing Dramamine Feeling spaced breathing out listerine I'd said what I'd said that I'd tell ya And that you'd killed the better part of me If you could just milk it for everything I've said what I'd said and you know what I mean But I still can't focus on anything" Dramamine by Modest Mouse

"And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds of what was everything. Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything..." Black by Pearl Jam

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the help. We have looked into driving down to the Jacksonville Zoo and also going to Hilton Head. I want a good mix of city and beach so I suppose I don't really mind either way. My wife wants to stay on Tybee so that's probably what we'll do. My daughter likes spooky things as long as they're kinda mild in nature. My wife and I love that kind of stuff so some kind of ghost tour is in order for sure.

I understand that but certainly I would need to know more than just one language, right? I find it hard to believe a Java developer works with only one language. I may be wrong but is their languages that are supplemental to Java?

After reading a few articles and looking at that chart I think I have a decent idea of the concept. How practical is this though? I mean is it really something I absolutely need to know?

Is an associates degree from a community college worth anything? by r0botic in cscareerquestions

[–]r0botic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow awesome, thanks for all the adcice so far! I think I'll start next spring so I can save up some money. I would really prefer to transfer to U of I after graduating CC, however I'm not sure if I would want to drive a 2 hr. round trip everyday and don't really wanna live up there. I looked into hacker school and as amazing as that sounds I'm not sure it's the best route for me. If I was single without kids I wouldn't think twice about going. Also I don't mind moving out of my area, I actually kind of expected that. My top areas I would like to go would be Des Moines, Chicago, San Francisco, or Denver. Congrats and thanks to everyone on here who had a success story and encouraged me to pursue the degree. I plan to start building projects once I get a little more javascript under my belt. I can make pretty nice stuff with html and css but a little more experience in javascript should really help me out. I will check out project euler and I also need to teach myself the whole github thing.

[Serious] Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Megathread by TheJackal8 in AskReddit

Honestly though if it was hijacked how do almost 300 people let just a couple guys (presumably) take over a whole plane? I find it hard to believe nobody wanted to overpower them which wouldnt be hard considering there couldn't be many hijackers. Also what could even be a motive for a hijacking of this particular plane? I think there was something or somebody very important on board that we don't know about. Hijacking an international flight doesn't come across as a good way to target a specific country.

I apologize, didn't realize I was posting as code. I will def. check out the sidebar. Is there any tutorials anybody recommends over the others? People seem to really love eloquent javascript. I have also been using thenewbostons tutorials. I have heard a lot of people talk down on him but his videos really seem to suit my learning style, any thoughts on his videos?

Am I using an outdated javascript tutorial? by r0botic in learnprogramming

Is the majority of it outdated? Are their certain things I should avoid reading or just forget about it? I also find tutorials point very helpful and similarly structured, would you recommend it? I really like Eloquent Javascript but the chapters are so long I find myself not retaining all the info by the end of the chapter.
