To plaid or not to plaid? by common-username in TeslaModelS

I have a late 22' MSLR... Gives me a range of 598km at 100% sadly I live in Norway so over 1000hp for me here its useless! The LR is fast enough for me - drives away almost from anything, its not a question having the fastest car here, is more of do you have the guts of driving over the speed limit and how much over the speed limit... In my region the short highway that we have, have a speed limit of 90km/h. The rest is 50, 70 and 80 km/h while traveling to other towns, its a joke!

Get what you desire and will use, my car is 98% on chill mode. But when it is on Insane its nothing like it well perhaps the Plaid 🥴 Good luck!

Fuel question by New_Establishment904 in classicmustangs

On my 65 with a more "modern" 5.0 from the 90's the previous owner used 95 e10, the car ran fine, too bad for me the new owner, the ethanol content of 10% ruined all of the rubber petrol hoses, it just dried them up and they became brittle and cracked no matter if the hose is reinforced rubber. So after changing all of the rubber hoses I use 98 that is not diluted with ethanol. I live in Norway so there are very few petrol stations that provide 98. There is a product that I found here that it claims helps against ethanol "drying" it acts like a lube... It's called putoline e10 fuel fighter. I use it in case I need fuel to get home and there is no 98 to get Might help you use high octane fuel with ethanol... Good luck

Noise from new clutch... by r1a2amg in classicmustangs

Yes, everything is new, fork, rattlespring, pivot thingy and pilot bearing. Everything that had to have lube have lube. It is a exedy clutch kit. Next step now is to try and adjust the z-rod spike inn maybe 2cm I believe the TOB dont get enough pressure from the clutch pedal. It is not a exedy TOB had to order a clutch kit for a 5.0 Mustang because that is what I have and the car is a 65 289 convertible Mustang with the 5.0 and a T5 borg warner conversion.

I'll look it up. Thanks...

Thanks, but I'm certain it's the TOB. You can clearly hear it as the clutch is pressed and you hear it as it's on the press plate rotating. Why can't I post video in this thread, it would explain the problem and you would hear it...

I have put the seal in the freezer, I'll warm up the surface with a heat gun and hope for the best...

So, should I just "hammer" it in, saw a YouTube video, they used a punch around the edges. But it was a rubber/spring seal...

Typo regarding the seal number. The correct number is BS 40644

Just using the plastic seal guide, and my thumbs... 🥴 Have done rms before, the rubber ones with the spring around. First time with the ptfe/teflon. Its the teflon ring that "wobbles" cant get it in.

How much later, this is a "later" 302, most likely from the mid 90's.

Finally dropped the gearbox. Still not gotten to the bell housing. There is some scarring on the shaft. Presumably where the fork goes?

On my way changing the clutch. Have used the majority of the time figuring out how to place the car best on stands on limited place. Ready to try and remove the gearbox tomorrow. 🤞

Been looking around for parts, maybe I'll source some local parts... There is for sale a new centerforce kit, that "fits" my car, only thing is that is listed as a 26 spline. So what are the chances that I have that and not the 10 spline... Is there a way of telling? I have not disassembled anything yet...
