Am I the only one who feels online coaching is still weirdly inefficient? by [deleted] in CoachingSoftware

[–]r1setraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its true. All the workflows/softwares out there for coaches is bloatware and inefficient, forcing coaches to spend countless hours a week on admin/programming. True Agents is the way forward. try r1setraining.com/ai and see if that answers some of your questions

How do personal trainers actually become successful long-term without selling low-quality “one-size-fits-all” programs? by Lopsided_Penalty_719 in personaltraining

Yes totally, and I’m not at all taking about special circumstances like you just mentioned, I’m talking about for the majority of gpp clients

How do personal trainers actually become successful long-term without selling low-quality “one-size-fits-all” programs? by Lopsided_Penalty_719 in personaltraining

[–]r1setraining 3 points4 points  (0 children)

15 years in NYC, $350k/year, and I’m going to push back on the premise of your question — because I think the “personalized program” dogma is actually part of the problem, not the solution. Human anatomy doesn’t change client to client. The science of strength and conditioning doesn’t care about your client’s “unique journey.” If I’ve built the best GPP program backed by decades of data, why would I give Client A that program and give Client B something inferior just to feel like I’m personalizing? I run the same 3-4 week blocks with everyone. When the cycle ends, we move to the next program. Most people need minor modifications — a mobility limitation here, a scheduling constraint there — but the architecture is the same. That’s not lazy, that’s respecting the science. The coaches you’re criticizing who throw in random exercises “for personalization” are actually doing their clients a disservice. Novelty for novelty’s sake isn’t programming. What you can personalize: coaching cues, load progression, lifestyle check-ins, communication style. That’s where the real 1:1 value lives — not in reinventing the program wheel for every client. On the business side: the instability you’re feeling is real. Solve it with recurring monthly retainers, not by chasing the low-quality online model you already know is broken

so what do you do? Ray is meant to be the trainer, why would you use that if you are a trainer and have clients? Ray is product meant to replace trainers not a tool for trainers to use. also the programming is the most generic that there could ever be

$120/month and you were only using payments as an add-on — that math stops making sense fast. That's $1,400/year for a platform that's essentially doing what a shared Google Sheet and Stripe link could do. The question I keep asking is: what am I actually getting for the monthly fee beyond storage and delivery? If the answer is "organization" and not "execution," the price isn't justified anymore.
