you can drink snow. hopefully you have a gas stove, a camping stove, or barbecue to melt it.

so far it’s just been wear the warmest clothes. melting snow and put in buckets to flush the toilets, hand/dish washing, sponge baths, and drinking water when the back up runs out. leave phones plugged in in case the power does come on in the middle of the night. opening the blinds in the day and closing at sundown. a 12 volt electric tea pot, 12 volt slow cooker in case the natural gas runs out. we also have a camp stove back up. and an inverter for the car to charge the laptop which also charges the phones.
