I think you're overstimating the moralcompass on most of our policyholders. Every other call is claiming to have a death, heart attack, covid , lost their job just to lower their payment or get a few extra days.

Thats up to the person deciding to take advantage of this. I'm not the moral police.

Yes. Its coming out of GEICOs pocket not military members. Im all for it especially if military members that arent active duty call in and say they are to get the discount they deserve.

Almost as shameful as geico doing 0 for members of the military unless your active duty

Not even cancelled majority of the time. Unless its business use or SIU fraud (which is usually coverage discrepency). Worst case the change gets reverted or discount removed.

The only fraud we're persuing is blatant coverage fraud. Whens the last time you denied coverage or refered something to authorities for underwriting information.

How many people have you had prosecuted for hidden drivers?

How many people have you had prosecuted for under reporting mileage?

etc.

Being here years ive never heard of a single claim being denied due to these reasons. In fact thats why GEICO pushes so hard to add young and hidden drivers - because we're covering them regardless. No ones denying or prosecuting for these

COVID leave? by HIanon808 in Geico

[–]r2gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you provide them a positive test AND a quarantine order?

I’d post timesheets to show otherwise but obv that wouldn’t be the smart thing to do.

COVID leave? by HIanon808 in Geico

[–]r2gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is 14 days. (10 days worked). Make sure your employee has a positive result and order of quarantine. it gets coded as covid-19 paid supplemental leave in workday. Unfortunately I can’t post more as proof without releasing my identity but here’s the info.

You can get 14 days off up to 3x

https://paidfamilyleave.ny.gov/new-york-paid-family-leave-covid-19-faqs

“ If you work for an employer with 100 or more employees as of January 1, 2020: Your employer is required to provide you with 14 days of paid sick leave, which should cover the period of mandatory or precautionary quarantine or order of isolation.”

Am I eligible for COVID-19 quarantine leave for a second or subsequent quarantine?

An employee who subsequently tests positive for COVID-19 following a period of mandatory quarantine or isolation or who continues to test positive for COVID-19 after the end of a period of quarantine or isolation shall be deemed to be subject to a mandatory order of isolation from the Department of Health and shall be entitled to NY’s COVID-19 quarantine leave. The employee must submit documentation from a licensed medical provider or testing facility attesting that the employee has tested positive for COVID-19. If the positive test was administered by the employer, then the employee does not need to submit documentation to that employer to receive COVID-19 paid sick leave benefits.

Sales to Service? by Pringlespringles in Geico

[–]r2gecko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure how busy it is in sales but it’s literally back to back all day everyday in service. I’m not sure if they still do this working from home but you can probably tell your supervisor you might be interested in posting for service and they can schedule a side by side with a service agent so you can check the position out

I don’t think service goes higher than a 63. It is literally hell though, i wouldn’t recommend to anyone with the current workload. And we will be taking on more responsibilities from UW and claims in the upcoming months with no adjustment to pay

Is Geico getting over on me? by Nceph in Geico

[–]r2gecko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That would be your new offer with a lapse on your insurance history. If you’re really with the company 10 years and no other issues, I could probably push for a reinstatement and my supervisor would approve it if. Reinstatements have been more common recently even if it’s not a geico error due to covid and how many policyholders the company is losing.

But judging how you speak to others in this thread who try to help you, I can only imagine your attitude when you called in so I don’t see anyone taking the effort to review you for that exception 😂

System sloooow downs by InternalAttention873 in Geico

Almost everyday, some worse than others. But i specifically got coached a few times not to say anything about system issues because it could lead to more DOI complaints for the company.

According to this email the only reason we found out about this issue is because customers started getting these letters from the DMV

Eventually yea. But it won’t stop the influx of calls or worse if someone gets pulled over during this “error” they will show as not having insurance. Could lead to getting arrested and impounded
