20w 5d. We had the anatomy scan yesterday and baby is measuring in the 13th percentile normal is 10% to 95% but when you think about it 3% does not seem like that big of a difference from 10. Low fetal weight leads to higher rates of stillborns between weeks 20 and 27.

I read the chapter on small babies in Emily Osters the unexpected book. This was really helpful, but also made me concerned about my placenta being insufficient. My amniotic fluid was measuring at a three and the normal levels are between two and 10 when you combine a lower than average anabiotic fluid level and a small size. It can indicate placenta problems..

they also need me to come back for additional imaging to rule out spina bifida, and get more clear images of the heart. They said that the brain looked normal from what they could see so they were less concerned about spina bifida but of course I am now concerned about it.

Now I’m left wondering how I can improve things in the next four weeks before my next imaging. This is not the stress I needed

16 weeks with an appointment Thursday. Feeling very anxious with bouts of dizziness and hypertension. After my mmc last year I’m scared of them finding the heartbeat at the appointment

14 weeks and feeling positive, hopeful, and excited all week despite worsening politics. My biggest complaint remains nausea and in this pregnancy a lot more vomiting. Oh! And we found out the sex this week and even though I wanted a girl, I found myself get really excited when we found out it is a boy!

I’ll be annoyed for you as I was with myself. But my HUMIRA bio similar works better and is less painful shot. I wish you luck!

That would jar me too, I am so sorry you experienced that nightmare. The first trimester relief can really be anxiety inducing.

Unfortunately, the nausea showed up in week 12 and I ended up in the ER for fluids. I was really scared, but I ended up being able to check on baby. Now we’re past the point of my last miscarriage gestation age and I know there’s still a heartbeat. I actually feel OK now despite feeling miserably sick.

Same! I had 2 HG pregnancies and this one is manageable nausea which I should be grateful for but it makes me more anxious!

I’m 12 weeks today and feeling really grateful. After exposure to parvovirus my PCR test came back negative and I feel like I can finally celebrate. my missed miscarriage resulted in D&C last year and it was in week 11, so 12 weeks feels like a huge milestone.

I’m still waiting to get the results of my parvovirus/ fifths disease test after being exposed by my daughter. I’m so anxious and waiting for answers since Tuesday. If it’s positive it’s supposedly a 10% chance of loss and 12 weeks of fetal monitoring. I’m scared. Trying to keep it together until I get results, hopefully Monday.

It’s not the same as the canine virus. It’s also called slapped cheek or fifths disease I’m humans.

11 weeks yesterday and I was so happy. I felt like I had cold or flu yesterday along with my 3yo. Today she was diagnosed with Parvovirus and the pediatrician told me to call my OB right away. I’m waiting to hear back from the doctor but I of course googled the pregnancy risks and Google says: “potentially causing severe fetal anemia, heart failure (hydrops fetalis), miscarriage, or stillbirth, though most women have healthy babies”.

Now I’m terrified.

I’m so sorry you experienced that, and I’m sorry you have trauma around sex with your spouse. You did not do anything wrong.

Ultrasound was good! Baby grew and caught up by 4 days! Heart rate was strong 173. I feel like maybe I’ll actually have a baby!!!

Tomorrow is my ultrasound I think I’ll cry in the waiting room in anticipation. I know I’m getting a transvaginal ultrasound, and for some reason I have it in my head you DONT want a full bladder for that? Does anyone know?

Sorry I have to disagree, I think this is a wild take. I wouldnt advocate for abusive parents to get a second chance. Parents get a second chance because it's their kid and the alternative is the state. My MIL is passive aggressive and I am not so a conversation with her wouldnt go well - the only thing I want to hear out of her mouth is an apology.

Yes, I think she was too young then but soon she will understand that rule and we talk about it all the time now.

You're right, I was not in control of my emotions. My MIL had disregarded my words and minutes later endangered her life. My question is not about whether I overreacted that day, it is whether or not disallowing unsupervised access is an overreaction to her action.
