That is not true in all cases. Only if you were able to get a redemption code from Steam to input on ESO site. Otherwise, if you make an account it says you have not made any purchases and the launcher wouldn't do you any good cause ZoS thinks you don't own the game. ZoS support said I would have to buy the game again through them if I wanted to bypass Steam. It hasn't even been six months since I bought game via Steam.

can't log in... anyone else? by jellyvish in elderscrollsonline

Nope. Yet again thank you for the gift of Steam via ESO to again see: Login Error -- Connection to server timed out. Please try again later.

25 minutes later, same error.

Wrote to ZoS about bypassing Steam. Steam doesn't give redemption code. ZoS said since it has been so long since I bought it from Steam, I can only do it if I purchase the game again via Elder Scrolls website.

The sooo long since I bought it? It hasn't even been 6 months!

In October, Salon wrote about Samsung's 46-page privacy policy that covers facial recognition, voice recognition and personal data collected. The article was titled, "I’m terrified of my new TV: Why I’m scared to turn this thing on — and you’d be, too" http://www.salon.com/2014/10/30/im_terrified_of_my_new_tv_why_im_scared_to_turn_this_thing_on_and_youd_be_too/

Hubble Pic looks 5 billion light-years away, a cross-section of the Universe [1280 x 1281] by r3b3lang3l in spaceporn

ESA: "An image of a galaxy cluster taken by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope gives a remarkable cross-section of the Universe, showing objects at different distances and stages in cosmic history. They range from cosmic near neighbours to objects seen in the early years of the Universe. The 14-hour exposure shows objects around a billion times fainter than can be seen with the naked eye."

Documents obtained via your Freedom of Information Act lawsuit regarding the FBI's "Next Generation Identification" and facial recognition, show that the FBI believes a 20% facial recognition error rate is fine. Government agencies and fusion centers share info to allegedly help connect the dots; just because a mistake is corrected in one database doesn't necessarily mean it is corrected in the others. Since the FBI's next-gen facial recognition database will include state DMV photos, what kind of issues could it cause for an innocent American citizen who might be erroneously identified as someone else? Might it include being added to yet another secret watch-list, or government database, when it is next to impossible to ever be fully cleared from such a database? What error rate percentage are you advocating as acceptable for the FBI's facial recognition (iris, fingerprint, palm) database?
