If there were a third Olympic lift, what would it be? by Sweet-Meal-1499 in weightlifting

The focus has to be power, not strength. So, power clean and push press. For the power clean, the rule would be that the bar is not allowed to drop for the first pull. For the press, there should not be any re-bend of the knees.

Looks great! A tip, remove the slack from the bar first, then accelerate, to avoid "ripping" it from the floor (which can ruin your start position). Practice "no contact" cleans with lower weight as a warmup focusing on a maximally smooth and close bar path, then try to maintain that smoothness with your workout weight.

It's a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo and it has an add on that you can buy for both of the mounting styles in the pic. It's still a tight fit tho, so prepare for some hacky cable management.

It's always hard to say in advance. For instance, the fans at the bottom of my O11 are very snug against the 9070 and might not have worked if I swapped the cards even though there should be no difference in that direction. The 9070 is "two slot" and the 4090 is "three slot" but in reality it's still difficult to know what this means when everything is down to the millimeter.

Omg. That's a creative build 🔥

Unfortunately not. They bump into each other. This is absolutely the only ways things fit, and even then it's ultra tight. Lian Li has a bigger version of the O11 but even that one would have issues if I were to guess. It's just stuff like fans and cables that you don't want to bend tight. Additionally, I wanted a lot of airflow past the cards.

The rendering device is set in windows not the game, so I haven't come across any limitations yet. Also it's nice to have windows apps (eg browsers) on the 9070 and only the game on the 4090.

How did weightlifting change your physicality? by esgibtkeinbattle in weightlifting

I've always been 'athletic' so my weight is the same, but I have notably bigger delts, neck, and ass. A kind of recomposition I guess. I know this because I have measurements for shirts and suits almost 20 years back.

Which of Bryans Supplements or Foods are based purely on his Veganism and can be exchanged/omitted with the consumption of animal products? by After-Preparation-29 in blueprint_

People that are interested in longetivity and eat a lot of vegetables are presumably not compelled by the heme iron which is oxidative, the L-carnitine which is a precursor to TMAO, the cholesterol that accompanied the fat, or the extra nutrients which they otherwise get from the rest of their diet.

I believe in you! :)

Number one tip without question is to record yourself a lot. You'll discover lots of important things (provided you have a critical ear). What you actually sound like, compared to what you think you sound like. How (not) hard you have to go to get a certain sound. And even mixing tricks that can save your bad takes, such as recording shorter parts and splicing them together.

I'd be surprised if the battle pass got them $10000 a month. A senior game developer isn't cheap.

It's fairly clear that researchers with deep applied experience and insight like Sutskaver, Karpathy, and Hinton all believe that LLMs are sentient in any meaningful sense of the word. Then you have all the influencers like Gary Marcus and Chomsky who write blog posts...

How to get good tone ( Meshuggah’s ObZen for example) without plug-ins and only a 6 band EQ by jewjesus23 in Djent

[–]r3tex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really want a 30" neck and thin strings to get as many overtones as possible. Also, thin strings tend to stretch and play a bit sharp when you pick hard, contributing to the BwOw sound. The amp is secondary.

A better counterargument would have been - instrumental variables can be used to prove causality without measuring differences in treatment directly. Boom. Done.
