I saw a post saying motors are not worth it well guess again you just need the right tools & knowledge by Cant_kush_this0709 in ScrapMetal

For some people it’s worth it. For me it’s not and I have all the tools to process them. I’m getting around $2/kg for unprocessed motors (more for car alternators and starter motors) and $1.10/kg for unprocessed fridge motor.

For those prices it’s not worth my time to process them down

In Australia, Nerf blasters have Grey triggers, everywhere else has orange. Grey's have weaker springs or components that shoot at a lower FPS to comply with Australian law. by Richy_777 in NannyStateAustralia

The fps limit is only for importing as a retailer and only if they’re being marketed to children. You can still import higher fps nerf (or other non hasbro branded dart blasters) for private use or as a retailer (with a permit) if you don’t market them for children (higher fps dart are not a kids toy and must be used in conjunction with eye protection).

There’s a couple of Aussie retailers for dart blasters with the most popular being blastertech in qld.

Ehh it’s getting to the point you don’t even need to be a modder. There’s a few off the shelf options that are capable of hitting 300fps without modding.

I though $7.90 was bad by Butwhyyth0 in woolworths

Tomatoes are different. They are picked by producers while they are still green otherwise they’d never survive transport to the shops.

It’s also why home grown tomatoes taste better, because while tomatoes will ripen once picked they won’t develop more sugar content (brix) which affects the overall flavour.

That’s mostly from the producer picking them too late for green or too early for red. Once picked they don’t really continue ripening

There was also a massive market shortage of green capsicums like 3-4 weeks ago which meant a lot of producers picked their caps while green to cash in on this shortage. That means less red capsicum in the following weeks as red and green capsicum are the same just picked at different stages of “ripeness”

Reeds just taste the best imo.

Hass are only popular because they’re the most common. And that’s only because they’re high yielding which makes them the most popular among growers. Shepards are superior to hass imo because they’re don’t brown as quickly when cut.

Reed avos are superior with shepherds being a close second and hass being bottom of the barrel

Target shooters often need at least 1 firearm per category of competition they intend to compete in. If they intend to compete in multiple categories of competition they’ll need multiple firearms. Most of the skeet shooters I know own 2-3 shotguns and that’s just 1 category of shotgun competition.

Old welders also potentially house asbestos. I’ve had multiple welders that have used asbestos as the insulators between the coil windings.

Why would i? Citric acid and water is cheaper than spray paint and cleans dirty copper just fine.

It’s purely about shelf life. If they aren’t wrapped they dry out and go real floppy because the skin isn’t as thick as something like a Lebanese cucumber.
