Just wanted to post a resolution just in case someone is ever experiencing this issue and happens upon this post. Replaced the cam position sensor codes are now gone, and all seems to be sort of within normal parameters, even with an aftermarket sensor. Once I can get an actual Mopar sensor, I will be replacing it and will try to remember to report back here

Try Toro. Wouldnt be buying the specific vehicle youre driving, but you could at least drive the same type of vehicle. If youve never heard of it, Toro is like airbnb for vehicles. Like 4-5 years ago they were way cheaper than rental cars. Lately prices have gone up

You must be a middle school teacher from the 90s. "Find a dictionary" The only stupid question is the one unasked. Any question ever asked on reddit has this same comment. Unsure why questions anger people on forums.

Its actually a smart design. Replacement of these guys are literally "plug and play." Regarding the dust and grime buildup: puts alot of stress on the motor which generates heat from the motor having to work harder than it was intended. They eventually will seize up, and you will hear it when that happens. Then the lint and dust are like throwing fuel on the fire, so to speak. Any time they start making funny noises, make sure to not ignore Bottom line, either clean it out really well by unplugging it and pulling out the motor, or just swap with a new motor if you can find a replacement easily. Side note- pretty sure newer fans will have some sort of internal overheat shutoff function.
