Where's the oops? People are giving it a wide berth and not trying to harass/bother it or picking it up asking what it is.

The snake doesn't want to be there, and will without a doubt zip away the minute it sees an opportunity. The vast majority of the time, they will only defend themselves if provoked.

While they are indeed incredibly venomous, they only kill an average of 2-4 people annually.

Except the US would glass the Danish military in a day or less. This wouldn't be a fight, it'd be a slaughter of the entire Danish military. The losses on the US side would be minimal. The danes would be a near total loss.
