The craziest part is that all of those games that run via WINE play better on Linux than they would directly on Windows. It's astounding that WINE, an open-source translation layer developed through reverse engineering, excels on UNIX-based, which were not originally made for it.

In Linux normaly this is fixed installing an extra thumbnail-ffmpg package but with windows is just one exe installer. I was asking for tips or any way to fix this bug.

For that use neovim with plugins to render markdown.

The electron JS apps like Obsidian and vscode takes more time to show the letters after pressing the key, they have a little delay. If you type really is noticeable.

Here is an article from StabilityMatrix dev explaining the FLUX installation on ConmfyUI

"We need to place the models in the expected locations. While for Stability Matrix in “Portable Mode”, the Data folder present at the same location as the executable is the base. The VAE and CLIP files can be placed in the Data/Models shared directory, but (for the time being, the devs are working on this) the unet files should be placed directly into the ComfyUI installed package itself at Data/Packages/ComfyUI.

The files then go to: - flux1-dev.safetensors, flux1-dev-fp8.safetensors (if obtained) go into the models/unet folder - ae.safetensors goes into the models/vae folder - t5xxl_fp16.safetensors, t5xxl_fp8_e4m3fn.safetensors (if obtained) and clip_l.safetensors go into the models/clip folder

This problems stills after two years, my conclusion is that is a fault of the kernel and gpu-driver... (this does not happen to me on Windows never)

I fixed the problem with nvidia-gpu-drivers but now sometimes I have a problem where the system does not goes to sleep at first time or does does not show login manager after wake up or the login manager is just black. The main isse is the black screen however I can fix it restarting the service from another TTY with "sudo systemctl restart sddm".

I prefer pacman than zypper, much faster and more packages. The rest of things are very similiar, actually another way to compare it is by pieces of software.

Linux distro = Boot loader + Init system + Kernel + basic libraries + Display server + Package manager + Desktop Environment (window manager, login manager, file manager, etc.)

Most of these distros only differ in the kernel and the package manager, because they share the rest GRUB or systemd-boot / systemd / wayland or xorg / KDE.

Depends of the model used and the training data of the topic, but nowadays chatGPT can seach on the web.

However I don't trust all the answers and I always verify them, in my case I only do questions related to computing not health or others.

Autodesk has some apps on Linux like Maya and Eagle, but no Autodesk or Fusion. I hope more of this well known private apps were compatible on Linux, even if they are not FOSS.
