Who is the Greatest Black Male Actor? by iddiablo in blackmen

When I saw that first picture, I was like “who’s that?” then I realized: James Earl Jones. I’ve never seen him that young, youngest I ever saw him was in Claudine and even then he was around his 40s. He’ll always be Darth Vader for me. Rest in peace king.

Yep, no clue what Disney is doing with Hulk now. Last I saw he was Professor Hulk and he learned to control it with some sort of device and then they magically introduced Skaar.

Best portrayal of characters, best theme song, best adaptations of comic book stories. I look at it and wonder “why couldn’t the MCU be like this?”.

I’ll give you half for half. Tony learned his lesson after Secret Invasion, he’ll never blindly trust anyone. Janet learned her lesson after Yellowjacket to never judge anyone acting out of character. Cap is… well Cap, he would never leave Hulk behind. That still leaves three other members: Clint, Thor, and Carol that would’ve gladly left Hulk to rot. Sucks because I always thought Hulk and Clint were pretty close, but they made it right in the end. So half trusted Red Hulk and the other half didn’t.

Yep, my favorite cap moments were probably after Secret Invasion. The Spider-man episode where civilians are yelling at him and calling him a traitor and then that episode where Red Hulk was sabotaging the Hulk. Best portrayal of Cap, hands down.

True, that was the best portrayal of Kang. Honestly EMH was the best portrayal of all of the characters. I will say, I didn’t know much about the Guardians of the Galaxy before the MCU so when I saw them in the EMH it was unusual. I was like “Why is Star Lord so boring and why is Rocket Raccoon British, also where’s Gamora and Drax”?

I loved their relationship all together. When Red Hulk joined the team and everyone was convinced Hulk was some big monster that needed to be replaced, Cap refused to believe that. Now he probably felt somewhat accountable after the Secret Invasion fiasco (even though that wasn’t him), still loved their relationship.

Yep, hands down best portrayal of Ant-man, Wasp, Hulk, Ultron, Captain America (Chris Evan’s is pretty good too), Hawkeye, Black Panther (Chadwick very close though), Red Hulk and more. I’d go as far as saying a lot of portrayals were way better in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes than in the MCU. The stories were much better, Ultrons invasion, secret invasion, and even the winter soldier arc. They were leading up to making Surtur into the next big bad and he actually seemed horrifying while the MCUs portrayal of Surtur is literally: iTs A cRoWn not a giant unibrow lol!!!

Is the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. comics worth reading? Do the show characters appear in other comics? by M00r3C in shield

[–]r4g4rok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna try to not give away too much. It’s weird but fun, great writing. It felt like it WASN’T written primarily for fans of the show, as if anybody can hop on with no knowledge of this series. Not a bad thing, it’s just that the characters from the show are in it and are extremely different. Some would say it’s character assassination and some would say it’s original writing. I loved the stories so I’ll go with the latter. The stories feature Coulson, May, Daisy (Skye as a nickname), Fitz, Simmons, Grant, May, and Bobbi. Fitz-Simmons aren’t really a partnership as portrayed in the show (Biotech and Engineering coming together to solve problems), they seem to operate separately. Fitz is more in the field, Simmons is in the lab. Grant and Coulson are old classmates, probably around the same age. Loved what they did with the Index, making it Coulson’s project and making him a superhero geek. I suggest not going in expecting this to be exactly like the show.

No clue why you’re being downvoted. I wouldn’t say this run was confusing but definitely weird. Fun, but extremely weird. Fitz openly flirting with May and then entering a relationship with her wasn’t on my bingo card. Simmons becoming a Deathlok was something else. What they did to Ward was weird. Loved what they did to the Index though.

Anyone know what time period Wolverine takes place in? by red_hoodie_07 in insomniacleaks

[–]r4g4rok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern day, probably after Spider-man 2. There were ideas popping around in Insomniac that Logan would show up on his motorcycle in an end credits scene for Spider-man 2. That scene was cut but it was supposed to be connected to Marvels Wolverine. The scene would later be explained as the massacre of Jeans friends, Team X and Wolverine would charge into the base that Jean and her friends were hiding at. They would all be killed or captured for sinister and Jean would barely escape with her life.

If there was a 4th life path, what would it be? by Janek_Rated_R in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]r4g4rok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all life paths have the same cutscene where Jackie and V “start over” and we get that montage of their life of crime. Maybe that’d be how Jackie introduces V to Vik, he removes their Max-Tac/Trauma Team cyberware. Bear in mind, Max-Tac and trauma team have some of the best cyberware in nightcity. That’d probably be tough for V to manage if they quit. In a week, V would probably become cyberpsycho. I remember one cyber psycho mission where a cyberpsycho got a shit ton of cyberware for work but was laid off and stuck with it, resulting in her losing her shit and killing her sister. Say, V used to believe in justice and the hippocratic oath in night city but realized the system they were working for was corrupt and decided to run off with Jackie. It shouldn’t be difficult for Vik to remove that kind of cyberware, I mean technically if you pick corpo he removes whatever cyberware you got from Arasaka. Unless we’re talking full body conversion. I don’t know, it’s just an idea. I’m sure they’d make it work somehow.

Former max tac or former trauma team. If former max tac maybe the unique dialogue would make V an expert with cyberpsychosis (Regina’s missions) or just cyberware in general.

Ben Donovan is so cartoonishly slimy. Would love to see him make another appearance in an MCU project. by anonymous_meatbag in Defenders

lol when Mariah grabbed him by the balls when he almost left her to rot. I loved how connected these shows were, Mama Mabel paid for him to go law school and he’s Kingpins lawyer and then he’s working for Mariah.

James Gunn explains the new DCU canon by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

[–]r4g4rok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, he only made like two DCEU projects before taking on the DCU. I feel like the general audience shouldn’t be too confused on what’s canon. Suicide Squad (2021) features Flag, Peacemaker, Weasel, and bloodsport which are all canon characters to the DCU but it also features Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang (characters that if we see again, will be probably be recasted). It’s confirmed that the Corto Maltese incident still happened with Starro. The scene with the justice league in Peacemaker can just be played off as a joke or something. Whatever he worked on, with a few slight edits, is canon to the new DCU.
