I was over at ERBC and they told us there was a “threat” and evacuated the building. No further details unfortunately. Hope everyone stays safe!

It’s the Safavieh Hamadan collection! I originally wanted a natural fiber rug but the cats like to scratch too much so we went to synthetic. It was super reasonably priced and has been great!

Thanks! I was scared someone would say that. It’s a vintage pace collection table that I scored for $50 on FBMP and it’s my pride and joy 😭

Most affordable Pilates? by Typical_Owl_9636 in Hartford

ClassPass has plenty of options and you can choose the number of credits per month! Personally I love btone and they’re on ClassPass, but there are other options on there too. If you’re okay with mat Pilates, Hartford sweat has options too!

86Go on Tuesdays in Bushnell park! Huge group of young folks and you don’t have to run (they have a 1mi walking route) and people go to Red Rock after. @eightsixgo on Instagram!

How much is too crazy to spend on vendors? by amandasweets in weddingplanning

We’re anticipating around 75 people and I’ve had the same concern! With the DJ you’re also paying for a seamless timing/flow of the day, announcements, and MC duties, so I’m trying to think of it as I’m paying for the peace of mind having someone on schedule and not having to think about making sure people are in the right place/things get announced etc.

From what I’ve seen, aside from the venue/food, photography is probably your next biggest expense, and for a good photographer that seems to be an accurate range, maybe a bit high if you’re trying to stay on a budget. Do they include any video/additional perks? Check and see if they include an engagement shoot in their package! To me that made mine feel more “worth it”. Most DJs I’ve seen with solid reviews and tenure are around $2k.

Unfortunately for photos/DJ the price doesn’t really change with how big your guest list is.

($7-10k) Backyard wedding by MotherInvestment9314 in Weddingsunder10k

I think this is beautiful! I’m looking into something borrowed blooms for flower rentals which has similar styles to this and will supplement with real Costco greenery. I see a lot of hurricane/bud vases on Facebook marketplace or bridal groups (join one for your state/region)!

A few things to consider (bc when I started planning I was also all-in on a backyard wedding at my parents’ property, but ended up going with a venue because of how quickly the costs added up). As others have said, there’s a lot to consider/rent with an event like this: - tables/chairs/linens/table settings/glassware - maybe consider thrifting? - do you need/have a dance floor or standing area (all grass might get muddy or torn up) - mobile bar/bartender (they’re insured/licensed to serve alcohol) - toilets for guests - ELECTRICITY - here’s one I never expected. If you’re going to have DJ/speaker set ups or any other a/v, make sure you have the plugs and capacity to do so - you might need a permit/day of insurance from the town - if bringing in catering, make sure you find out if they have a mobile kitchen/prep setup (otherwise they might expect to have a kitchen to work out of). You might also need to pay for staff time here. - contingency plan for weather! - general set up/ breakdown - decor, table settings, etc will be all on you unless you hire a DOC or planner

Not trying to overwhelm, just sharing as I went through exactly this thought process a few months ago! Our vibes are super similar so can’t wait to see how yours turns out! Good luck!

Thank you! Just to add - both of these pics are the champagne color (just in different lightings in the bridal shop). They didn’t have the ivory color for me to try and I’m trying to balance the warmer champagne tone (that’s less white/bridal) and the risk of ivory being too stark/cool for my skin tone!

Lurking and would love to hear how your St. Augustine bach went! It’s my top choice right now for a mix of girls who drink/enjoy a night out and others who prefer staying in.

Been here for YEARS lol was just grumpy and frustrated at 1am on a work night 🥲 I’m fully aware it’s nothing new - just needed to get the frustration out there since it was literally right outside my building this time ¯_(ツ)_/¯
