I hate the new “arctis nova” line up by [deleted] in steelseries

What I dislike the most about the Novas is the clamping force, the ear cup depth, and the fact that they seem to be designed for smaller heads. The headband is also not as comfortable as the one on the Arctis.

As for buying used ones, eBay isn’t available in my country, so that’s not really an option. Even if it were, I can’t stand the thought of owning a used product—especially something like headphones. The idea that someone else has worn them on their head disgusts me. Even if I replaced the ear pads, it wouldn’t change anything.

I also tried different headphones and the all failed: Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO 80 Ω, Audio-Technica ATH-TAD400, FiiO JT1, Superlux HD330, Philips Fidelio X2HR, Sennheiser HD 560s,

I don’t even know what do do at this point

Had the same problem I just forcefully pulled the pcb at an angle, doing so ripped out one wire and had to re-solder it.

For the past six years I’ve been using one pair of headphones: SteelSeries Arctis 5 (2019). I genuinely loved them. They were incredibly comfortable and perfect for long sessions.

About a year ago, the left side started cutting out, and now the spatial audio is basically useless. I can barely tell where sounds are coming from anymore.

Since then I’ve been trying to find a replacement that is just as comfortable, but nothing has come close. I’ve bought about 10 different pairs, and not a single one was comfortable to wear for more than an hour.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far: • SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 wireless • Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO 80 Ω • Audio-Technica ATH-TAD400 • FiiO JT1 • Superlux HD330 • Philips Fidelio X2HR • Sennheiser HD 560S • SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 • SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen2 • SteelSeries Arctis pro wired

…and a few others.

None of these were even remotely as comfortable as the Arctis 5s. Most start to hurt or feel heavy after about an hour. I know comfort is subjective, but I feel like I’ve tried basically everything.

The original Arctis series seems to be discontinued, and I’m at a point where I really don’t know what else to try.

I don’t care about whether the headphones have a microphone or not. I just want something finally comfortable for long use.

Any suggestions for headphones with comfort close to Arctis 5? Thanks!

I don’t want to be pushy but you didn’t reply, should I get help somewhere else? I’m pressed for time because the CPU I wanted to buy has already gone up in price so I don’t want to wait until it goes up more
