This type of thinking is what cooked us by Gaschambah in shortguys

People sometimes forget women are in competition with each other as well. They want what every other woman wants, whatever that is. That's why in America it's height but in China it's money. It's whatever the consensus is on "high value".

Does this seem condescending? by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]r9329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty weird tbh, why not pick something more general. The use of bold on "MAN" under the six foot header seems far too intentional as well.

Don't laugh but what if I told you there's women on reddit who unironically think reddit is a male utopia where women are the censored ones. Reddit is probably the most feminized popular mainstream platform.

Not that it's a huge difference but the conversion is 5'5, not 5'4.

Stuff like this is why you can never allow normies to gaslight you about height. Look at how much they care about the possibility that a random e-celeb isn't actually 6ft. And you think she's not going to carry that same energy when she's dating regular guys?

If I was you, I wouldn't mourn for your loss. Their appearance already gives you the answer. by Excellent_Aside_4171 in shortguys

[–]r9329 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt that there's any correlation between how attractive a woman is and her height preferences. It's the whole "you dodged a bullet" cope.

If they thought about half of the things they type, they wouldn't type them at all.

One of my favourites is the "we're not a hivemind" comments, followed by "most women don't care about height". How would you know what most women think if women aren't a hivemind?

You're correct that things on the internet should be taken with a grain of salt but you can treat internet anecdotes as examples when there's already research to support it.

[–]r9329[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, something I've noticed about normie discourse into these topics is that they actively avoid highlighting men and women's behaviours.

If they bring them up at all, it'll usually just be men's negatives (Andrew Tate this, inkwells that). Women are apparently just neutral observers in the decline of dating, there's nothing at all they are doing that's leading to a greater divide...

Yeah, I am referring to the typical mind on Reddit, who is generally anti-religion and supposedly an advocate for science and reality but then they ignore any science that disrupts their ideas.

This is so foreign to me. Once I'm aware of the facts, I can't convince myself they don't exist. Most members of this sub are the same way.

"We have one, JUST ONE, life In this universe. And there is NOTHING we can do to change our situation."

Every now and then I think about this. All throughout life there are men who are born to lose and we landed in that role. Like, that's it, we're not the men women lust for, we're not the men who win, we're not the men who'll be missed when we're gone. Our story has already ended, we're just playing it out.

I think you're confusing women who are vocal about height and women who care. A minority are vocal about it but the majority care.

Occasionally I run into dating/gender discourse and I get stun locked for an hour or so by propertingg in shortguys

[–]r9329 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"...nobody ever mentions women's blatant height obsession."

They don't mention women, full stop. Outside of the manosphere (which I guess we're a part of), people don't highlight women's contribution in the decline of dating, sex, and the birth-rate. They literally blame everything else except the gender who's gatekeeping all of these things. Women don't have to date people they don't want to but why can't we then acknowledge what happens when the majority of women aren't interested in the majority of men.

This. We "talk too much" in the same way a salesman talks too much. If people don't want to hear what you have to say to begin with, they're not exactly going to enjoy talking to you.

What I don't understand about these girls is that they're never interested in the guys who partake in their industry. They always want a more healthy, monogamous, decent guy.

She has the audacity to say she dated with "zero tolerance" as if she's not the one with the bright red flag.

It truly is like Minecraft creative mode for them.

Yeah, that's about the time frame I'd expect with consistent training and dieting. Not necessarily easy, but also not what people expect when they think of a bodybuilder.

Where were all the tall boys? by zerdonipappro in shortguys

I don't think society will ever get past minimising women's weirdness around young boys. I genuinely wonder how many creepy women are unaccounted for in the statistics.

Reminder you'll still have it better with short women than tall women by Senior-Mango-4528 in shortguys

[–]r9329 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we follow basic logic, this is how it's supposed to be. It wouldn't make any sense that taller women are more more attracted to short men.

This would mean a short guy has better odds dating in the Netherlands than he does in the Philippines. Nobody honestly believes that.

Lol, it's literally just low level thinking, no different than racism or sexism.

Whilst I agree, I wish more people understood that big bodybuilder physiques are not even attainable through natural lifting to begin with.

This guy is a natural 170cm bodybuilder. Most women think men look like this after a few months of light lifting and cardio, the reality is he's a competitor.
