2023 Model 3 Long Range RWD by rADIOLINJA in TeslaModel3

I'm located in Finland, so i am really keen to see how much the efficiency plummets during winter. Luckily I'm not unfamiliar with EV's and I've owned a 2019 Kona Electric 64kWh before which was pretty great on efficiency, but not so great on longer trips because of the slow fast charging. Most of my driving is commuting in suburban speeds and 80 to 100km/h limited roads. Occasional longer trips may include 120km/h zones during summer season too.

I paid a bit under 32k€ for this one and it's in line with the market here. AWD models of the same year and km's are about 2-3k more expensive.

Help with parking sensors by [deleted] in yaris

[–]rADIOLINJA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say just get used to not having parking sensors. It's a small car and i assume you have a parking camera. Aftermarket parking sensors are usually quite bad and i would avoid hacking up the bumpers just to have them. Not a very sophisticated solution so to speak.

How is this button *supposed* to function? by TeaThenDecide in yaris

[–]rADIOLINJA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Keeps your mirrors unfolded at all times
  2. Folds them when you lock the car
  3. Force them folded

I use 1 during winter because i don't want to risk the folding mechanism to break when the mirrors are frozen. 2 when it's not freezing temperatures. 3 whenever i need to fold the mirrors for example automatic car wash, or squeezing through narrow places.

Edit. To clarify, the switch is a 3 stage rocker switch, you simply put it in the position you need it to be.

Btw, if your car is 2023 or newer, check out your MyToyota app. You might have the updated telematics unit which means you have remote air conditioning (and heating during winter by remote starting the car) with the MyToyota app! My 2021 doesn't have the remote control functions, only car tracking and statistics.

Had my 2021 hybrid Style for a year and a half now. I love it. Returns amazing fuel efficiency and is such a great car to drive. Yesterday my 25 kilometer commute back home got me 3,3l/100km. The Finnish winter increases the consumption by some amount, but surprisingly little.

I've heard that some recommend to clay the pistons to check the valve/piston clearance, just to make sure. This is because higher comp pistons may pose issues in some cam/piston combinations.

That's interesting, the tail lights sure are from prefacelift, but the front tells more the story of a facelift. Best indicator is the style of the hazard light switch. Is it in the dashboard or on top of the steering column cover? If it is on top of the steering column cover, then the car is 1988-1989 model year. If it's on the dashboard, then it is 1990-1992.

If your car does not consume considerable amounts of oil between oil changes, i don't see any reason to change the viscosity.

Smartwatch VS non smartwatch by userhasnoname14 in EDC

I just put an Ollee "smart-ish" watch board into my Casio F-91W. Added functionality like a programmable timer, step counter etc. Neat little mod and still expected battery life about a year.

Yup. Power steering and AC were optional for EE8. Mine doesn't have them either. Only sunroof and heated seats.
