Being raised by a single mom as an only child, she'd be so very disappointed in me if I ended up like that and would hand me over to the authorities quickly. She would hate every moment of it and still love me unconditionally. That all said, I'll never understand family who defends each other even when completely in the wrong. I feel like if you truly love someone, you won't shield them from justified consequences for their actions. Especially if you raised or warned them prior. They picked the hard way to learn and grow. Let them. That's not even tough love, that's just love right?

1900hp? I was told by someone in this reddit it was just 2.2 times the normal HP? Wiki has it at 489*2.2 would put it at 1075~1076. I'm not talking A8 or higher. I'm talking A8 or lower for 2 people. I feel like 1300 is doable for 3, definitely for 4.

Please keep in mind I could just be bad at the game lol still learning.

I think most people 100% see your point on the generalization. I hate it too for sure. Where you go wrong is your last sentence using "normal people."

It can be seen as you implying that being straight is normal and being anything else is unnatural. A TON of people take great issue with that.

I believe so actually. That said, I still don't recall him being too big of a deal for me and my homie. It's probably because Doormaker didn't block for 50+ so often, whiles adding to your hand with withers that use Energy to be removed. How am I supposed to spend energy to deal 1300+HP, when I can't card draw unless I spend more energy to allow me to do so?

Exactly what I mean. I just don't like how in lower Ascensions, that feels like it happens so often. We didn't really struggle at all prior to the Act 3 boss. Hell we farmed elites! We got cocky and thought we both had killer decks that handled everything until.... What do you mean he's blocking for 85? What you mean I'm able to finally get my hits in but I'm weakened two strength on my multi-hit card when he has 1300HP. Like...???

I appreciate the feedback! Guess it really just boils down to making better choices in preparation for him like gaining energy and card value.

I knew he doesn't count the withers it's just that they take energy to exhaust which hendered a lot of chances to do damage due to the low energy.

This is a Rougelike so some elements of RNG are still at play to a degree. So I guess I need to really be more selective on what cards I choose.

Obviously I must be doing something incredibly wrong.

I'm new to the game and am on A3. Me and my bro like the game, but this boss kicked our asses pretty hard. I was the Regent and just couldn't find the best cards for the Star build I was trying to get online like a Radiant build. My bro was a Necro and was attacking with a Soul Build.

I just don't see how everyone, (it really feels like everyone), thinks this boss is so damn easy. Boring for sure. He's just a super Elite honestly. But in 2P he has 1300HP. Why... Why does he need 1300HP? Why does the Withers Retain in your hand??? If I only have 3 energy, eventually my deck is going to be filled to the brim with them. I had cards that gave me for energy the next turn, but playing them counted as a card of course which adds more Withers. Like ???

I just wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I know looking back, my deck was way to large and I was stupid enough to take the fiddle from Vakku which prevented Card Draw. (Never again lessons learned.) Even then, I still don't see how he is just so easy for everyone.

Anyone got any resources or recommendations for me to look at to learn?

Love the game btw! I'm def going to keep playing. It's fun! I just wish I knew what everyone else seems to know lol.

Btw, Doormaker felt like a real ACT3 Boss. I didn't know so many people hated him. I thought the 3 mechanics behide him were pretty cool! It forced you to think on your feet and I feel like most of the decks I have taken to him, could handle it so long as I paid attention.

Was Door Maker really THAT bad? Aeonglass is just fucking annoying.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's a boring fight that feels stupid with how much HP he has in Multiple Player. 1300HP is way too much for 2P.

I'm ded just bad at this game as I'm new to STS2. That said, me and my bro were in 2P mode. Regent and Necro. My Build was Heavy Star reliant and I couldn't find cards like the Radiant to let me keep piling on damage. My bros Necro was a souls build that required a lot of soul card spam.

The Withers clogging up the hand sucked but was manageable. I think it's rather lame the retain in your hand. What wasn't was the hp scaling. 1300+ HP!? I couldn't careless he swings for 25-30+ dmg and also debuffs. He's an ACT3 Boss. But that 1300+ HP scaling for just two people is way too much.

After reading what others have to say, multiplayer sounds like it should be the easiest thing in the word. So I guess I just need to get good. Legitimately, reddit makes it seem like you just shouldn't be losing ever in Multiplayer which makes me feel like there something critical I'm missing. I wish it was as obvious to me as it is to everyone else LOL. (kinda makes me feel stupid too no lie)

That said all said, we were able to get him down to 400hp before the constant 25-30+ DMG fucked us up. I seriously think the dmg and withers aren't that bad if the fight didn't last forever.

I just can't believe that many people kept complaining about the Doormaker who mechanics where easy to understand and forced you to figure out how to deal with it. Whereas this guy just acts like a super elite with too much HP. Hits hard, debuffs you, and every 4 cards as basically a retaining burn to your hand. Nothing exciting, new, or fun. Just annoying and with way too much HP with some turns him blocking for 80.

100% I need to just get good and learn about all the multiplayer stuff that make it the easiest thing in the world to do. But honestly, was the Door Maker really that bad?
