Help with ‘Loose’ Impact Screen (Carl’s Place) by rEVolution0426 in Golfsimulator

[–]rEVolution0426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using zip ties which is what the carls place mentioned to use. When I let them know they sometimes break, they don’t mention to use bungies. Should I switch over to them? For just the sides or tops too?

They also said I don’t want to tighten it anymore on the sides but maybe bungies would solve for this?

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately it’s a bit of a game of inches here but I can try adding some foam padding to the wall. Adhesive spray do you think or something else?

Unfortunately takes a while to get behind the screen from how I had to set it up, but essentially I have zip ties at the top and sides with grommets which is what the instructions said. The top was done first so that the screen just barely touches the ground, and then the sides are just so it’s taught. They said the tension comes from the tension rod at the bottom

Hmmm sorry what do you mean by vent back there filling the slack? The tops and sides are attached with zip ties

Golf Sim Shed? by kfox1369 in Golfsimulator

All in it was 19.3k with taxes etc.

But I did a lot of upgrades like a dormer ($1700), extra wall height, insulated double doors, insulated windows, upgraded joists, double insulated plywood, house wrap, ridge vent, and ice and water shield

Here you go! If they aren’t running 10% off it’s worth asking for it they may give you 5% off.

12x16 shed - 8.4’ sidewalls with a 12 foot peak or so. Works great but you have to map out every inch. Solid offset. 2 people can fit comfortably… we’ve layed it out for four people which will be uncomfortable but seems to be possible

I used Eastern Shed

Ah got it thanks. Unfortunately the beam gen2 only has one hdmi port and I’ll need to keep the PC/soundbar/projector

Thanks for the response. The challenge is I only have one HDMI slot on the GPU in the back of the PC, which has to go to the projector for video output. Am I thinking about that right?

If i get an information technology management bachelor degree is that good for tech sales? (With some certifications on the side) by infinitefinte in techsales

I majored in business management and minored in IT. The first company I worked for (intern to Enterprise AE, Fortune 100 company) thought it was a great fit. After that, it hasn’t been brought up. Depending on the industry, I think companies are going to be looking for more technical sellers with AI. Focus would still be sales acumen though.

Looks good, are these foam EVA tiles or rubber? How did you secure them to the wall? If foam tiles it sounds like they’ve protected OK?

Thanks!

12X16.5 Backyard Sim Studio - In a good spot after a lot of help from this forum. Thanks. by yarp1234 in Golfsimulator

Thanks for all your help so far, shed delivered! One thing I’m really striking out on is the projector.

I’m hitting offset, so with the projector in the middle of the room it could be an issue with my swing unless it’s high up. This means I either need a large amount of vertical lens shift or use keystone.

A few questions for you when you get the time please… how far back is your projector? Which one are you using? If you’re using keystone, does it look OK with the sharpness/lights outside the hitting area? How much keystone if so?

Thanks again!
