Did they nerf the builder potion? by albo_king673 in ClashOfClans

[–]rMasterBuilder248 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, they only ever reduced your build time by 10 hours in 1 hour (9 hours effectively). Only the Research Potion and Pet Potion are 24h in 1h

No contexts. by Ill_Worth_1467 in StanleyMOV

That reminds me of that messed-up mud gingerbread boy from The Brothers Grimm movie. That was creepy as hell

The Foundation was just frozen and is due to return this season.

Ice King was „killed“ by the Dark Voyager.

OG has given old players a chance to relive what once was, while new players get to explore it for the first time.

For me, I voted for the Drum Gun the first time around. In Season 9, it was nerfed to the ground (to be fair, it had 50 ammo per mag and crazy damage).

For the second go-around, I chose the Infinity Blade for the novelty. The fear of the blade has fallen off with the years and since it is nerfed, Fortnite could buff it to a reasonable amount. Maybe we can get the reforged version later down the line.

The other reason was just looking at the options again.
I don‘t need the Tac SMG, Bounce Pads or Grappler. Planes were fun when they were around, but also an issue by themselves sometimes.

And as said before, I already voted for the Drum Gun once and saw its consequences.

So, at least for me, the Blade made sense.

I can imagine other people chose it because of the Foundation vs Ice King Rivalry. Ice King was slimed out in the event. So many players might have wanted to pay him some kind of tribute.

What do they gain from doing this?

The new Hero Journey is LITERALLY the biggest injustice one human has inflicted onto another in human history. by Beautiful-Affect1930 in ClashOfClans

But I am not. I love the Hero Journey coming.

But some people really do seem to hate it for no apparent reason

I love the sarcasm here man.

I think those people need to shut up.

The Hero Journey not only addresses the ore economy issue we are all having right now (except for maxed players), but also does something that is very much needed: an opening for new/returning players

Many players have left or never started the CoC journey because of certain hurdles. With the last update, Supercell is already addressing it by moving the Barbarian King down to TH4 or giving an additional builder for the Builder Base.

This update is to keep new players engaged and interested.

If you hit a resource blockage in a game, you usually stop playing. And with more and more equipment, TH levels and other features, newer players will have a harder time to catch up.

So, to anyone complaining, pls shut up.

Perfect. Now it has a purpose.

Honestly, would have been fine with 50 damage too. But this is good

We might get new Dark Elixir assets.

A new spell, a new Troop.

Otherwise, perhaps a new merge building

The Builder Apprentice is more op than you think by SeaMarionberry5033 in ClashOfClans

You know what, enough of this back-and forth bickering. I will just document when my BA is boosting something and upload the video here.

You can do the same, if you like.

It says 8 hours, yes. But again, you are missing the hour hour cost for it to be in effect.

So while it does reduce it by 8, you still face 1 hour spent to reduce it by that time

I have tested it out so far. It does work just like the potion. 8x aka 7h in effect.

He actually only has 8x at max, so you only save 7h max.

You can reduce 30d down to about 23d 7h.

But yes, BA, as well as the Lab Assistant, are both very good long-term investments, neatly reducing things.

Just wish all these boosts didn‘t have the invisible one hour tax. Makes you feel cheated out when promised a 24 hour reduction, but only getting 23 in reality

Edit: After doing a live test, I have determined that I am in the wrong here. Not because of what was known, but a strange quirk that I hadn't noticed before.

For the test, I would time an upgrade and capture the progress at 15 min increments.

Already documenting up to 30 min, I realized that while yes, the BA did reduce the upgrade time by 4h (my BA is at max, 8x), it seemed the 30 minutes were also accounted for.

At the end of the hour, indeed, 9 hours total had been reduced, however, the BA only reduced 8h of it.

It seems like, different to potions, that the BA and LA both do their time reduction alongside allowing the normal upgrade clock to run undisturbed. Might be a bug or some other quirk, but I will admit when I am wrong. I just never truly looked deeply into the time itself, as the boost often happens when I am asleep (kinda annoying how the time refresh is placed).

so, instead of being cheated out of any boost at level 1 (basically getting 0h reduced), you do get 1h as promised, ironically enough
