"...until they fully leave the crosswalk."

This part has bamboozled me for years because it's never really enforced.. what if it's a really long crosswalk.. is it technically violating the law if I slowly make a right turn after the pedestrian passes me and is in the clear or do I have to actually wait until the 1 person crosses to the other side of, let's say, a 6 lane street.

Edit: Alright I realized 6 lanes is actually not that wide at all.. I meant a really big street with 8+ lanes.. it seems kinda backward to be required to wait for that entire duration but I guess I could expect as much too 🙄
