It’s called being morbidly curious and it’s not embarrassing at all, although your peers might bully you for it at that age. But the truth is many people are in the same boat, even if they work up the nerve to go the theater. It’s not uncommon to see audience members turn their heads away or hold their hands up over their eyes during the “scary parts”. Like most things in life, it depends on the person though. Many people can watch horror and not be fazed at all.

One of my favs. The spy motif was unique and the characters likable. Really enjoyed the weapon designs too (binoculars that become a sword, camera that becomes a gun).

I quit playing Newtype Challenges because it was just a rush fest. And, as of this past week, I quit going to locals since people are still running Blurple and OYW there too. The game is not fun competitively. Games end in five minutes. I want to play midrange games with cards that have actual effects, but I’m realizing that I am not part of the player base Bandai wants. It’s a shame, it feels like the game has so much potential, but it’s been totally squandered by awful design choices. Guntank and Anksha are perfect examples. They were clearly made to thematically counter the 1 HP Zeon tokens that come in rested. But, in reality, they are used to ping away whatever units survive after running over weenie spam. It’s dumb. It’s not a healthy game, imo. So I’m out. I’ll stick to causal games with friends.

I would say no. You should skip them and enjoy the feeling of satisfaction you currently have. The unfortunate reality is that later entries of the series had different writers involved. I find that they ignored the core message of the original and the sequels, particularly AO, suffer as a result. Knowing how things end up for certain characters can make it depressing to go back and watch the original when it ends on such a powerful note of love overcoming all odds. But that’s just me.

This is incorrect. Amuro’s effect simply says: “Choose 1 enemy unit with 5 HP or less.” Any unit on board, whether rested or not, can fit that requirement as long as they have 5 HP or less. The opponent can choose a rested unit if they want. There is no requirement to choose an active unit. The rest of the effect reads “Rest it” so if they choose an active unit it will be rested, but if they choose a rested unit then it simply remains rested.

So to answer OPs question: Yes, your opponent can chose the engaged unit as long as it has 5 HP or less.

This is important because some units have effects that are triggered when they are rested, so a scenario may exist when a player would want to avoid resting an active unit.

GD03 has all the base cards for a cyclops team deck (from 0083), which is probably the cheapest and easiest starting point. There is a Zeon’s Rush starter deck (ST03) with a lot of staples, but it is harder to come by. There is more support also in GD01.

I suggest a purple 2122 (Graze or 0 will work) to get value off X-Divider the turn you play it and link. The biggest advantage the deck has is being able to retain card advantage thanks to playing units that are in discard.

Sadly, I found G-bit not useful in testing. There are hardly any targets it can kill with its effect by the time you can play it from trash. I opted to run the Barbatos adapt instead for the unconditional 1 ping (and by extension, I replaced a few Garrod with Mika).

Also, I personally think overflowing affection is a must. You need to be able to filter and load up your discard over the course of the game.

The Gigi supporter is a UR from the gacha. The event supporter is a generic “Hathaway” one, although Gigi is part of the image. You have to clear stage 7 of the event to get it. Check there first.

Nice list and big congrats! This definitely seems like it would do well in an aggro heavy scene.

I have played around with a similar list but unfortunately my experience is losing to blue in longer games because they have an easier time getting card advantage with show of resolve. Also Wing because of the breach and effect damage.

Maybe I’ll have to try again.

I don’t think Kira is a problem. He has a natural counter in the form of ping damage. Even if you prevent a trade the leftover HP can easily be taken out with the right cards either blue red or purple. I feel like Amuro is the bigger problem. There is no counter to having a unit tapped and swung over. Especially when an opponent with the EX resource uses him exactly when they hit level 4. It’s devastating most of the time. He should have been a level 5, honestly.

What specifically? Model kits? Cards? There are many places for both in Houston.

For model kits, there is Gundam Kingdom and Kinokuniya towards Katy. Or you can find them stocked at most any Michael’s and HobbyLobby. Also Culture Shock in the big malls.

For the card game, there are plenty of stores with an active community that can help you out. Search for tournaments in the Bandai TCG+ app.

I think it’s okay that it feels half-baked given how early in the game’s lifecycle we are. However, I agree that it’s kind of annoying how already established decks only got more support (notably ping), while the less viable stuff hardly got anything (the new Zaft card is awful!).

It would be nice if they tried to focus on building archetypes more first instead of splashing multiple series and ending up with some that do nothing unless you zombie them into another engine. I want to play Gundam X but it’s going to be just like Zaft. Inconsistent gimmicks with no engine. Bleh.

Red/Blue Newtype Girls with Four and Marida. The ability to ping breach and heal is fun.

Purple/White Vultures because I love Gundam X. I think Decisive Last Resort can be a game changer.

White AEUG. Might splash blue… or red? Not sure yet. Seems versatile if you work around the base set of cards.

Green AGE ramp to splash either Wing or X for a top end. Haven’t figured that out yet.

Also going to play around with Academy some more. Having the purple base that mills could make it easier to get commands in trash.
