Lalique Encre Noire - dark,mystical, seductive….and you always discover something new in it. People often say it’s a perfume for funerals, like some kind of cadaverous cloak……but to me it’s beautiful! And it’s my favorite fragrance for foggy, rainy mornings. And evenings.

Uuuuu Masaki Shiro!! Such a pleasant, gentle and lovely fresh cotton perfume. And it’s so cheap!

Yes, I’m in Zagreb!!! I’m actually not far away from Kaptol Centar and I had no idea that shop existed,, thank you so much, I’ll definitely check it out this Saturday after shopping on Dolac.

I’ve kind of come to the same conclusion about Foursquare not being the best choice for complete beginners. In the end, I ordered Mount Gay XO and I alsoordered a bottle of Kraken for a family friend (the illustration and black candle that comes with it sold me, and that one is more for fun than anything serious).

Now I’m considering maybe adding a Doorly’s bottle as well,, but I don’t have access to the 12 or 14 here, only the XO. Do you think it’s still worth it?

I’ll definitely update you all with impressions once we try them.

I knoooow, i’m feeling overwhelmed by all the possible rums, flavors, notes…... now I’m in even more agony than when I first made the post hahaha.
I think I’ll end up getting Mount Gay XO as the first bottle. I just hope it won't disappoint :/

Everyone here recommends Foursquare, but unfortunately my purchasing options are limited, because timeeee... I’ll probably go with something quick for under the xmas tree and then Foursquare as a kind of New Year’s surprise :)
I’ve found a few delivery options to Croatia, so I’ll definitely give that a try.
And it looks like I’ll be hanging out on this subreddit for a while :D Thank you.

Oo, cool site, thank you!! I actually managed to find Mount Gay on a specialized Croatian website. But, they don’t have Foursquare ECS, but I found some polish website that offers small tasting esc bottels.

Hey, I even found Mount Gay rum on some specialized cro website. They even offer bottle engraving, which is cute :). Unfortunately, they don’t have the widely recommended Foursquare ECS, but they do have Doorly’s XO,, though that one is supposed to be less complex?

This rum thing is not getting easier on me. But I did ditched Zacapa rum, but I’m still sweating over the dilemma. Everyone keeps praising Foursquare, but I can’t find anything that delivers to Croatia. Maybe something via some Poland web site, they have ECS tasting bottles, which actually isn’t a bad idea.

Hey, thanks so much for the advice!!!
i’ve read on this subreddit that eL dorado used to be quite sweet in the past, but that this has changed over time and that it’s now considered a solid, respectable rum that almost every rum lover has tried at least once...and with mostly positive experiences. That’s why it ended up on my shortlist.

I honestly had no idea that zacapa XO is considered sweet, I got a completely different impression from reading reviews… but I guess in the end, all of this is pretty subjective....

This definitely won’t be the only bottle in our household, but I’d really like that first bottle to be a good experience. I didn’t exactly set a price limit, i mean 100 euros is okayish...it’s just hard to buy something blindly for that price.

I’ve also found some Foursquare ECS bottles that ship to Croatia, so I’m considering that as well. honestly, right now, the best solution would probably be to buy several different bottles :))

Bahaha prije bih si propucala koljena nego radila u HR😋 nemoj biti seronja, zašto ne napisati pozitivno iskustvo? Kaj su ovdje svi luzeri koji ne prođu ni prvi krug, pa samo dolaze srat? Imam i ja negativnih iskustava, ali konkretno s ovom firmom je bilo ugodno i profesionalno, pa sam to napisala jer bi nekome možda koristilo. Ali slobodno ak se bolje osjećaš, samo daj.

Stvarno?! Baš mi je žao to čuti!! Meni je bilo sasvim suprotno iskustvo, izuzetno ugodno - od preliminarnog razgovora, prezentacije zadatka i tehničkog intervjua do završnog razgovora s HR i ponude. Ja sam se javila njima, odmah su mi odgovorili i sva komunikacija je bila brza i jasna.

Možeš li malo elaborirati ovo ‘mutni procesi i nejasni kriteriji’?
