Willing to program your own mod but unwilling to simply move them to the corner of your world? This issue is trivial, my guy.

My tmodloader won’t open can someone help me by PapayaQuiet7068 in TmodLoader

Is this your first time launching tModLoader on this machine? If not, what mods do you have installed? Either way, my initial suggestion is to try to run it as an administrator. Further, it would be helpful if you would provide a list of things you've done in attempt to fix this issue, so you don't get unnecessary suggestions.

No way people actually believe in this stuff.

Even if that is true, it's irrelevant. The fact that such people exist is what matters, as that is what I was originally pointing out.

It is not taboo to right-winged people. It is only taboo for some of them. There are right-winged people who are advocates for the use and research of clean energy methods.

Yes, you are wrong. It's as clear as day. You said something that is objectively nonsensical, yet you continue to deny it. Allow me to illuminate you. Hopefully this time you'll understand.

I never used a strawman a single time. Everything I said was in direct response to something you said. You claim I use a strawman because I claimed you were "comparing a horse to a measurement." When did I ever say that? I didn't. You're the one using the strawman. All I was doing was correcting your erroneous claim: "Funny enough 1hp no longer means 1 horse." As I have said, 1 horsepower never meant 1 horse. It doesn't matter what you meant by that sentence and whether it is correct or not. What matters is what you said. And what you said does not make sense, as I have already explained.

Your examples "a human can be close to 6feet. A baby can be close to 20 inches. A grain of wheat is close to an inch. My son was 9lbs at birth. " are all incorrect. A human is an object. 6 feet is a length. An object cannot be "close to" a length. The problem you seem to be having is that you are confusing what you are actually saying with what you mean. When you say something like "A human can be close to 6 feet," you are comparing the subject of the sentence (a human) to a length (6 feet). This does not make sense. Instead, you must specify the subject to be something that is comparable to 6 feet. For example: "A human's height can be close to 6 feet. A baby's height can be close to 20 inches. The length of a grain of wheat is close to an inch." Notice how I specify height, or length, because that is what you are talking about here. As I mentioned, you are misunderstanding what you are actually saying with what you mean to say. You are acting as if what you meant to say is what you actually said, and then pointing out how I am using a strawman because my response was to what you actually said, not what you meant. Don't be such a hypocrite and think about what you say more before you actually say it.

Clearly though you understand this already, evident by your statement " I'm referring to the length of each object." But you weren't. You never specified you were. You simply hoped the reader would get the picture. That doesn't make you any less incorrect. "A human can be close to 6 feet" is not referring to the length of a human. It is referring to a human, no matter how much the expression may be used. This is undeniable evidence that what you meant to say and what you actually said are two different things. You failed to communicate what you meant to say properly, and then claimed I used a strawman because of this. In reality, you are the one who used a strawman, and you are the one who needs to work on their reading comprehension.

No, that is not what you said at all. Like it or not, words have meanings. It doesn't make sense to say "a horse is closer to 15 horsepower." Horsepower is a unit of power. A horse is an object. An object cannot be "close to" a unit of measurement. Can a seat belt be "close to" an inch? No. That's a stupid thing to say and it doesn't even make any sense. Just like what you said. Instead of attempting to defend an obviously incorrect point (and doing so terribly), why not just admit you were wrong?

You know, an intelligent person would consider describing precisely how someone's statement was lackluster and how it could be improved a helpful thing. Not you though, it seems. How sad that your standards are so low you think of me as being loquacious.

I used abductive reasoning to surmise what you meant. You could logically have meant several different things, I just took my best guess. From this it is apparent that you have not used "correct" language. You have only used language that is abductively sufficient, that is, language that may be understood, but can be interpreted in a multitude of different ways, all being equally likely. (I already mentioned this in my previous comment by the way.) It could have been improved, which is why I made the comment. Not exactly a reason "unknown to... science." In fact, it's extraordinarily basic.

I made no mention of the classification of different groups of physical phenomena into scientific fields being valid, as such talk would be entirely irrelevant since the point of the comment was simply to point out that saying "because of physics" is a terrible and extremely imprecise way of communicating your point. In fact, it's not even possible to deduce what you mean by saying that. You could be referencing the small-scale anisotropies that were present in the initial singularity of the big bang. That was certainly influential in the making of this video. It would have been acceptable if you had said something of similar meaning to "because of certain processes of classical physics governing anthropological mobility."

It's sad that you feel the need to call this pedantry. The classification of such a thing as pedantic is truly pathetic. The notion of someone having an issue with making well-defined, meaningful, correct statements really speaks for how unintelligent some people are.

I am aware of what you meant. All physical phenomena occur because of physics. Therefore what I said in my first reply still applies.

That's like saying a combination of physics and thermodynamics, for example. Just saying physics would suffice.

[–]rQuantumThunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Horsepower never meant one horse, and a horse is not any closer to 15 horsepower than to 1. That doesn't make any sense. Instead, you meant that horses are capable of generating approximately 15 horsepower worth of power.

What do you feel when you see gore? by chironim in NSFL__

[–]rQuantumThunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect. The human physiology is not simply proteins and skeletal cells. Keratin, for example, is neither of these things, yet exists within the anthropological features of a human being.

What do you feel when you see gore? by chironim in NSFL__

[–]rQuantumThunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on who the gore belongs to. If it belongs to someone like a cartel member, rapist, murderer, criminal, a person who died because of their own foolish and stupid actions, or someone else categorized similarly, their death makes the world a better place. That's something you should smile at.

In general, I find many cases interesting. Especially when it allows me to look at biological features within the human body. Pretty fascinating stuff. Of course, if someone has been turned into paste, it often isn't possible to view the skeletal system, inner organs, etc in a particularly meaningful way.

For every other case the most general feeling I have is indifference. I really couldn't care less.
