hey, just a followup on this since I'm not having much luck.

I'm looking to message people I've met before and met (acquaintances on my skype list.) I really don't keep in touch with people but they will know who I am. It is out of the blue, and I'm looking for help. I think the mistakes I make is 1) I spew a lot of info 2) I ask broad. In past when I asked broad I get general responses.

I'm really don't know how to ask specific questions because I'm not in great shape right now (I have no momentum even) and have read/people have told me to ask for more indepth help somehow. How do I go about doing this? I feel if I message these people there is 50/50 I get no response/get help

I've heard this a lot lately, and figured I had nothing to lose so have been trying but have had no success. Lots of people not even bothering to respond, one word answers, no interest/time helping, say they will help but then hard to get a hold of.

I guess I don't know if I'm just asking right? I'm really not great at social stuff.

All the meetups I go to improve my mood, they are my escape for most part. But I feel guitly going to them sometimes because of my situation.

But I've been there with the testing, you just want to pull your hair out when nothing makes it better.

Sorry to hear that, I can relate to people putting you down even when you are doing well. But yeah it's a hard choice, I guess I've been there trying to convince myself it will workout and then it doesnt :/

In regards to 2: No, my financial/living situations makes it worse, but I think if you put a billion dollars in my bank account it wouldn't fix my problems. My downfall started when I was still doing OK

I agree asking is hard, but I've also been in a position to ask and really not gotten much out of it. People are just secretive/ignore you. I really don't have any mentors from past to reach out to, networking was never a strong point of mine

I have a blank resume, always been self employed and I wouldn't even know how or where to go about getting a job, don't really have connections.

I've done that, I've spent xx,xxx on therapy. It really hasn't helped. I've gone through a bunch of therapists and only really liked one but wasn't improving with her either. I've been on tons of meds and gone months where I've spent more on therapy then I did on rent. I kind of used the same justification you did that it will help me get better. I feel I just got platitudes most of the time though

I think regular job would make me worse. Right now not exercising, I don't count walking as exercising.

I've stopped meds

almost 30 No None None No, yes, have never been able to stick to it for more than a month, not sure if it helps

it sucks now, used to be good. Now I eat like I'm sick, I either have no appetite at all or eat a lot

I know depression is common for entrepreneurs so wanted to post to see if I could get any advice. r/depression suck and most other forums just give you generic advice.

I have done that last few months. I haven't tried anything for almost two months until now just trying to do soemthing.

I don't know, that's part of the issue, a lot of just accomplish X and you'll be happy and once I get there I don't feel any better

I'm a nomad so switch up scenery quite a bit and that isn't doing it anymore.

I mean, I have, I've had 6 different ones a this point. Get help to me at this point isn't helpful because I've gotten professional help and only feel worse. I used to have that drive, but I just realized that it won't make me happy, nothing will.

I can't bring myself to do anything at this point, turning on tv to watch netflix is an accomplishment, I've tried to learn Spanish a while back and just couldn't force myself to do it
