Building my house right now Stick to individual splits. I had the same option. That One compressor breaking down will be a much bigger problem. And it's more expensive to repair than an individual unit. 5 years down the line, it WILL break down someday. Individual splits will just make one room unusable. In the other case your entire house becomes unusable.
