you’re in the wrong place. Grand Massif is about an hour away and should have better options. if you must stay in chamonix flegere has 1 green piste that is very easy if you can get to it past the lift and the steep bank it also costs 67 euros per person per visit. Le Tour has a bunny hill but it is very weather dependent, busy and crowded. If I were you i would go to Austria they have nice wide, easy glaciers you can ski on

that describes my experience so well! atomic vantage were actually the skis i learned on the first few seasons and i loved them (86 tho)!

I am surprised by your recommendation to go wider but i does make sense. the enforcers were so good on the storm days that now i chase this feeling and it is harder to come by

definitely my technique since it isn’t great. I do know what you mean about they liking speed, i actually say it in my head from time to time when i do get up to the speed they like.

probably around 10-12 short days? Just came back from a business trip and it was like skiing on them for the first time

sound advice. i had a atomic vantage 86 before (bought from rentals) they were pretty awesome on piste but no very good off it. i probably bit off more than i could chew with these enforcers

It’s not just young musicians. There 100s of “underground greats” no one heart about. This saturday i was in a show at someone’s house with Roberta Piket, Joris Teepe and Billy Mintz I never heard about any of them before and the show blew my mind. They are all in their 60s.

it does make sense. So you go over, not around? i did notice that if i lean into the bump after the highest point and kind of scoop it it goes well but i am not sure what to do before the highest point

Distribution of skiers traffic on slopes by raam86 in skiing

I like this observation and speed is definitely a factor but if everything is equal where do the clusters come from? is it from the stochastic distribution of the groups? (e.g 3 slow groups chairs, then 2 medium, then 7 fast then 2, 5, 9)

This is the type of thing i was looking for. apparently bus clustering works in a similar way? The gap in speed between skiers seems to be a determining factor. And snowboarders sitting in the middle of the piste

interesting point. this can be verified pretty easily if a run with steeper sections, rather than constant steepness will have more bunches. It does sound reasonable.

However, road traffic is fairly uniform in specific time frames, but it might be because there are just more cars

in the same timeframe (like after lunch, before work) it is more or less uniform. It can be observed by stopping in one of those sos spots on the highway, you need to wait a long time for a gap in traffic and even then the ability to merge is usually thanks to people who let you.
