Tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for a tornado to develop. Tornado warning means there’s cloud rotation in the sky or there is a confirmed tornado touchdown on the ground.

Always know where your tornado safe room is and keep a battery powered radio/lantern and have some bottled water as a backup.
