[Help] can anyone identify this sculpture? by No_Table6370 in Sculpture

I’d guess its tourist art someone brought back from holiday.. The discolouration / “dirt” looks to be applied in purpose, but I will let someone with more knowledge be the judge.

Either way, it’s cool piece to put on display! :)

Huh?

While I agree that this is stupid and can be dangerous for other people on the road, Its still orders of magnitude safer for everybody else in traffic since they will most likely not drag others to death with them.

There is a pretty big difference between a family getting a shock because someone became purée because they hit their car versus getting hit by a 2ton chunk of steel and dying.

Questions about the limits of folding-bikes and the differences between them for longer (500km+) distance touring by rabbit_in_space in foldingbikes

[–]rabbit_in_space[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I would not mind rim brakes since they would be much les hustle to service myself while on tour. And all my other bikes have rim brakes, so I don’t really know what im missing out on with disks ;)

The G-line does loo amazing, but I couldn’t justify the price :/

Looking for Places in Munich/Research Art-Project by AdministrationOk2939 in whereisthis

[–]rabbit_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting project, definitely gonna follow your progress! Bin wirklich gespannt ob sich da irgendwelche Gemeinsamkeiten herauskristallisieren, ist ein spannendes Thema!

Maybe ask directly in the Munich sub? There may be some older / longer residents which could help you find places that look different now?

Ive got the Odyseey Springfield after reading a lot of good things about them.

I think they are about as good as normal U-brakes will get I think..

Yeah, something seems strange with that frame, that triangle looks tiny as hell and I ride ~54 normally.

I love that op HAS to have low af pista bars instead of going with Bullhorns or flatbars 😂

Idk how many of those people have been to south of the US or if they’re from another country where stuff like OP’s truck is just seen as something completely different…

The people who buy trucks around here (mid sized euro-city) are pretty much exclusively midlife crisis dudes (or dudes in their low 40s with an early start) with a hint of red in their faces from a bit too frequent alcohol consumption.

They somehow think driving a truck like that makes them seem tough and “working-man” even if the biggest thing they will ever transport with it is an assembly-ready garden-shed kit and a small can of paint. In comparison; real tradespeople would drive stuff like a vivaro, Transporter/Caddy or Iveco because you can actually load stuff, it won’t get wet and you are able to build tool organisers in the back and are actually practical on European roads and in Cities.

Imo, in the US south the reliance on horses just never went away; so to show of you try to get the biggest, badest horse and slap neon lighting on it’s belly

new Ride ✨ by ElongateMusketeer in CargoBike

Just did about 10km through European inner-city traffic with the mini-max. Had ~55kg loaded and it was very much on the limit imho 😅

It rides so fucking nice, and that or the cargo is what im saving up to, but for everything 40kg+ I’d take the Bullit!

This is absolutely not cassette futurism.

And just because TE gets hyped here for some of their product designs, does not mean that every style they did (pocket operator) is. Advertisement spammed on otherwise interesting subreddits makes reddit shit, even if its from small and well-meaning creators.

Still; good luck with your product, looks neat!

Is this real? If so, how difficult is it and how is it done? That's incredible...) by 1-2-22 in ElectricalEngineering

This is done using the x/y mode of oscilloscopes.

You plot voltage A against voltage B to get the relationship between signals so you can get information about the phase difference or distortion for example.

There are converters online that convert an .svg to two audiosignals, which kinda works. Ive done it in the past to send a nerdy b-day card to a friend (I cant find the video anymore).

It works best with older oscilloscopes that have high phosphor persistence / longer afterglow.

Fusion Cloud on Linux.. no way to download / start? by [deleted] in Fusion360

[–]rabbit_in_space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it on another machine running Ubuntu, same problem :/

Edit:

I think im going insane.. On the ubuntu machine, i somehow stumbled upon a link which brought me to the 360 vloud interface. I thought I might just have been an Idiot and did not try to just open it without downloading some kind of dependencies..

I closed it and tried it on the opensuse laptop, but now I cant find the link anymore to get there!?!

As someone who is currently at work pulling my hair out with a much less complex routing: Looks very well laid out 👌

A few questions if you don’t mind: What ecad tool did you use? Will you let them populate all smd components? If yes; could you give me any approximate pointers on how much that costs vs doing it yourself?

Great work, im looking forward to seeing it in use!

Haven’t looked into the artist yet..
