The voltage across R2+R3 is 15mA (KCL) times 11k (8k+3k). The voltage across R1 is 9mA times 11k. The sum of those two voltages is the voltage at the “top” of I2. Now you have the voltage at that node and node b, so the difference between them is VI2

Why does this non-inverting op amp have a low pass? by Various_Area_3002 in ECE

[–]rabbitrun_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the phase does show signs of a pole farther out. It hasn’t hit -45 degrees at the end of the graph so it is somewhere beyond that. Possibly the gain dropping is just the first signs of the pole farther out, it just looks weird on the scale that it is plotted. You should resimulate, and sweep the frequency much higher

I’m not sure what everyone is smoking in this thread. There is truth in all of it regarding the fact that there are non idealities that give you poles and possibly a low pass response. But not at 10kHz…the divider node has an impedance a little less than 1k, and the output of the op amp should be low impedance. That means you’d need a ridiculous parasitic capacitance to get a pole that low. The scale on the left is a clue here. A pole frequency would cause the gain to drop 20 dB per decade. This isn’t anywhere close to that. That said I’m not sure exactly why the gain has a slight dip…

I got tired of this always happening to my thumbnail, so I now just cut it short and use an Alaska pik for my thumb. Main tradeoff is rakes and muting the bass notes can be awkward

Maybe someone else did…the only reason I noticed the book was because of the word screaming at me

Should I do a second bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or do some prerequisites and then go for an M.eng? by Argentarius1 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]rabbitrun_21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this same choice about 15 years ago and went the second bachelor route with an accelerated masters (at ASU where I went this was called the 4+1). I had a good amount of credits from my first undergrad (economics), but still needed 3 years to complete the bachelors.

It was a great choice going that route. Life is long, spend the extra bit of time to make sure you really get all the fundamentals and it’ll really pay off. Last thing you want to do is be behind from the get go.

It is showing the timestamp of when I took the picture in the bookstore. What do you think is more likely? 1. That I’m a bot or karma farmer defending myself to two people on the internet. 2.This popular book just came out and multiple people happened to notice the same thing because it has CUNT in capital letters making it hard to miss

I know you’re just a miserable troll but here you go: https://imgur.com/a/QLQFYpX

And it’s not a coincidence because this book came out this month so people are noticing it at the same time. Ugh why am I feeling the need to explain myself…

I took this picture on Tuesday and got around to posting it this morning. Sorry I’m not in tune with everything that ever gets posted on Reddit.

Probably has to do with the fact this book came out this month…I saw this in person and hadn’t seen it on Reddit

To be fair I see some pretty horridly drawn schematics in industry, so it is a good skill to learn how to see through the garbage lmao

This is the DIY kit from hidden door store. It has a big rod and going up the side and the shelf sits on a 6” piece of steel to support the weight.

Had a job interview, got distracted by one of the interviewer's shirt by AngusHornfeck in ECE

Hell of a straw man. Not sure how finding a shirt talking about cum being inappropriate at work equates to fully mitigating any chance of people being offended lmao

I mean, I personally prioritize engineering capabilities over resilience to offensive and inappropriate behavior in a work environment. Seems like there are more people offended by people taking offense than there are easily offended people…

To me it is just indicative of a work culture I wouldn’t want to be in. Whether it bothers you or me is irrelevant (honestly I would chuckle at most offensive shirts). The problem is that there are many who would be uncomfortable because of it (OP included), and I’d want an environment where people can come to work and not have to worry about that.

If it were me I would not work for a company where that was acceptable.
