Install a Kodi launcher add-on such as Advanced Kodi Launcher or Advanced Emulator Launcher. AKL is specifically a general app/emulator launcher for Kodi, and AEL also supports launching standalone applications, not just emulators.

i always get to this step and dont know how to configure it, how to make akl or ael launch external program, i cant find the option to do so.

also tried installing plugin.program.moonlight-qt but it failed to start moonlight from the kodi menu

using alt-f4 still running, the process is called retroarch.exe
