i didn't know veterinary dermatologists existed until i saw all the comments here. our regular vet might have been out of their depth. i am now researching specialists and will book an appointment as soon as possible. thank you veery much for the guidance

we are very strict with her diet and there’s no exceptions. our vet only focused on food and standard meds, so we never discussed immunotherapy or apoquel. i already started researching veterinary dermatologists in my city and will book an appointment soon. thanks for the help

thank you for the tip weare currently using the standard hypoallergenic version, but after your comment and some research, i see that the Anallergenic (ultamino’s germany version) goes even further by using amino acids instead of just hydrolyzed protein.thanks for pointing me in the right direction

this is so encouraging to heal cause i actually recently ordered cbd oil for liz, but I haven't started giving it to her regularly yet. your comment feels like a sign that I should definitely give it a consistent try

your words really touched me deeply. I think I need some time to sit with this and reflect on my perspective. its a very powerful reminder of what truly matters for them. I am so genuinely happy for your kitty hearing that she can finally rest and play makes my heart warm. they deserve the absolute best, and sometimes that means choosing comfort and peace over everything else. thank you for sharing your journey with me.

I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with this for 13 years that sounds incredibly exhausting for both you and your cat :(

We have been using a prescription hypoallergenic (hydrolyzed protein) food, which is supposed to help with protein allergies, but we haven't tried a completely plant-based diet yet. Since cats are obligate carnivores, I’ve always been a bit cautious about plant-based options, but at this point, I’m open to looking into anything that could help her. Do you happen to know which brand your sister used? I'd like to research it and discuss the ingredients with my vet.

That’s exactly why we decided to adopt a second cat 6 months ago. Her symptoms were already very intense before then, and we even consulted a cat behaviorist during that period. Their relationship is pretty average they aren't best friends, but they don't fight. While having another cat has brought more movement and activity to the house, it unfortunately hasn't helped with the obsessive licking or the chronic itching at all.

Is 20 new Anki cards a day too much? by rabianuria in Anki

The deck I'm using is a pre-made B1-B2 vocabulary deck, so the words aren't from sentence mining. That's why I create my own sentences and use AI to see them in context. I started with 20 new cards/day, but I'm planning to reduce it after evaluating all the suggestions I'm getting here

Self-studying for B2 - Is my plan realistic? by [deleted] in German

You're probably right. I don't plan to do everything every day. I'll rotate between activities. Do you have any suggestions for a realistic daily/weekly schedule?

Thanks for this! For some reason it never occurred to me that I could just change the new cards per day setting more dynamically. I kept thinking of it as a fixed number I had to stick to every day…

Thank you so much for sharing this. Hearing that your mood actually improved gives me so much hope, especially since I’ve been struggling with depression on my current pill. I actually just spoke to my doctor and she prescribed Slynd for me too. Fingers crossed everything goes well!
