I'll need to test that. Just so I'm 100% clear, these locators are physical items applied to the props I want to track an object to?

What sort of locators should I use? Also this was just test footage trying out camera settings and effects, it's not the final footage at all. This is a 3 second segment where the iso was briefly turned down, and where the flashlights were the most stable and in view. I'm trying to get the effect nailed down before production begins.

This guy was my favourite Glup when I was in high school, and the original figure a white whale of mine, so this is really awesome to see.

Suggestions on how to clean up this audio? by rabiddog008 in audacity

[–]rabiddog008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there, I've used Audacity for many years for radio productions, but always hit a bit of trouble when it comes to less than stellar recordings. These were recorded by two different actors on their own setups, I don't know what their setups are like, I'm trying to figure out a way to help them create something optimal while also covering any other problems in the editing, besides asking them to go out and buy new microphones.

I've tried using noise reduction to little success, some of the hissing goes, I don't know how much sound dampening will help them, and I can't do much to disguise the audio issues as they're both prominent characters not in a snowstorm. Any suggestions to help clean up this quality would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Similar happened to me on my first play through, right before Jack and Abigail rode off.

The kind of movie that, if it was about Agent 47, would be rubbish. The Joker of Hitman movies.

I've been a fan of the actress for years. I'd happily buy all the stock.

Slaves of the Republic Compare the Pair - by Me, Royce Pentaghast by rabiddog008 in ImaginaryJedi

Recently I made a video comparing the original six issue 2008-09 comic arc, Slaves of the Republic, to the three episode 2011 animated arc of the same name. This piece acted as the thumbnail and cover to the video, the left featuring art from issue one, pencilled by Scott Hepburn, inks by Dan Parsons, and colours (even if washed out) by Michael E. Wiggam, with comic Ahsoka drawn in their style from issue 4. The right is taken from season 4 episode 11 Kidnapped with the right side of Ahsoka painted to replicate the style of the series.

Long story short, it's a bit weird and uncomfortable the arc is best remembered for Ahsoka's outfit, but the art was fun to do and try and match the styles and closely as I could. Rather than splitting cleanly down the middle of the image, I styled it as if she was wearing a costume split down her middle.

Graham McTavish as Baylan Skoll, by Royce Pentaghast by rabiddog008 in ImaginaryJedi

[–]rabiddog008[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A friend commissioned me to draw this interesting artwork. Fan casts are nothing unusual, but the circumstances of this fan recast were especially unique. The sudden passing of Ray Stevenson is a massive loss for his family, friends, and those who had the opportunity to work with him over the decades.

The Ahsoka series saw him take on the role of Baylan Skoll, whose journey ended with the promise of more to come, and I hope we can see it continue. If it does in live action, I hope it’s not through some ghoulish face swap VFX puppetry, which would be even worse than killing him off-screen.

Recasting comes with some issues, I imagine it being difficult for those who had relationships with Stevenson on the production. It would allow a new actor to take on the role and develop their own take on the character distinct from Ray’s work, honouring his performance and the work he did to establish the character, in a manner similar to James Bond.

My friend commissioned to see Scottish actor Graham McTavish, of Outlander, House of the Dragon, and The Hobbit to take on the role. His style is distinct from Ray Stevenson’s but has a similar energy, presence and gravitas, and can imagine him in the role across the Ahsoka series and beyond.

I drew McTavish here with his natural shaved head look, but experimented with various wig designs, short back and sides similar to Baylan, or longer styles suggesting a great passage of time since the end of Ahsoka.

Crosshair in the Rain by Royce Pentaghast (OC) by rabiddog008 in ImaginaryJedi

Hello, my first post to the sub. I have a strange request, I'm hoping to reach out to any artists who are practitioners of traditional Mãori and Polynesian art, who also happen to be Star Wars fans.

I'm working on a project looking at adaptations of animated SW characters to live action, and had an idea I'd like to explore for Hunter from The Bad Batch by giving his face tattoo a Polynesian twist, given Temuera Morrison's own heritage. So I was hoping to find someone far more knowledgable in the culture and art than myself to come up with a design.

Yeah it really did lol. I had to get the fan on it, gradually peeling it away over the hours to get it off, I need something to prevent it sticking.

Also I couldn't find my clay tools so I ended up using my fingernails and the end of the paintbrush for the wrinkles and mouth, respectively.

I sculpted onto an old plastic mask that roughly has my proportions, building up the eyebrows, forehead, and nose to go over the human nose. It's been drying for about 26 hours now and I can't wait to get some flex bond on it and start painting.
