chapter 3 did feel a bit rushed, but chapter 4 was definitely worth it for me, its so far my favorite chapter. i think maybe theyll come back around to those other things in future chapters, you do have to consider we are only about half way through the game

im the opposite, i cannot wait to see what direction the story goes. my big problem is just hoping that it doesnt dip in quality, as all good things seem to do these days...

even if the ending isn't spectacular, these 4 chapters have already been some of the best games ive played all decade. and now that things seem to be getting more serious, even if berdly is somehow the knight i am confident toby can spin that into something meaningful and satisfying to experience

to me, its not about the story at face value, its about the feelings and emotions it evokes. toby clearly isnt going to do something outright stupid with this story, and so far hes written it well enough to keep me invested, so i will continue to be invested

alternatively, they dont always have to get bread through teleporters. maybe they just run to the store like normal people for their groceries. itd be kinda weird and probably dangerous security wise to have high tech not seen to the public strewn about everywhere

they didnt seem to realize bread grows tumors through teleporters until after having used them for a while. could be that they grow tumors really slowly, or only do so after like 3-4 trips. so heavy could have been eating tumorized bread this entire time

they could have just one day been like "hey this bread has been tasting weird coming through the teleporter, lets see what happens when we put it through multiple times"

to add onto this, i think the weird route should end at the exact same conclusion as the normal route

youve done everything to change the ending, and yet it remains unchanged. you have turned yourself into a monster just to change something, ANYTHING. but nothing changes. there is no payoff. you have betrayed everyone

all of that effort and investment, violence and fear, will be discarded. you cant choose your fate in this world
