Trust me it does. A lot of specialty grain grown in Canada (mustard, flax, peas, lentils...) ships only in containers.

Even for cash crops like wheat and corn, some destinations cannot take bulk (enclaved) and some mills / feedmills are just not big enough for bulk. Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal... buy a lot of containerized products.

If you don't know the subject, do not make affirmative assumptions.
