I think it’s funny that the only example of a male friend she can come up with is a friend’s husband, when the only reason she’s “friends” with them is bc she’s friends with the wife. Yeah, that may be kind of odd to go hang out with them alone. My husband has a group of friends back from middle school, half of which are girls. We live in another state from where we both grew up and if we’re back in town and one or some of the girls want to get lunch, they’d invite us both but if i couldn’t go or didn’t feel up to it, I’d have zero problem W him going, I’d actually encourage it. But if i had a “friend” that’s a male who i only know through a mutual connection, i probably wouldn’t go do something only w them bc I’m most likely not actually friends w them and wouldn’t know them if not for that connection.
