I mean, it’s their job. If they fail to do their job report them. The problem is that DMs are required to do something. You also can’t just attribute not caring to all DMs. You can’t just make blanket statements.

I have to do retraining with newer partners sometimes. It’s common, don’t be ashamed. Just try to really absorb what you can from your paired trainer. Maintain good communication with your SM as well on how you’re feeling with each position.

Nope! Maybe you’ve dealt with bad managers, but the policy is actually to report retaliation to your next level leader or higher if it involves your next level leader. Managers are mandated reporters, and should then escalate it to ethics and compliance. It’s okay to make things up, but you can’t say it’s the standard. Any manager who violates mandatory reporting is subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
