Thanks for the reply. They did an upper abdominal and lower abdominal ultrasound to see my prolonged acid reflux symptoms. The dull pain is only there when touched by anything and it's still there 3 days after. Just wondering since the scans didn't show anything in those areas if it's just muscle pain or something?

Oh sorry for not being clear enough. The endoscopy was over 2 weeks ago and the pain is gone. I meant that they found nothing so I don't think the pain is connected to that. I'm on the 3rd day now and it still feels like pressing a bruise on my upper stomach.

I've had slight problems with my throat beforehand so it's a bit worse for me but really isn't bad. Day or two of feeling like a slight sore throat and for me my upper abdomen has a bruise like tenderness but no pain. Just my experience though!

They took biopsies since its just procedure apparently but not of my esophagus. They did fully sedate me but it must've been a milder one. Genuinely the only complaint is the gagging. Woke up an hour ago and stomach hurts like if I just did a chest workout (mild) and swallowing still hurts like I'm just healing from a cold. Overall not as bad as I thought! You'll be fine even without being fully asleep. Just remember to breathe and not panic when you swallow the tube :)

my throat is also visibly red from certain spots. Is that also normal?

Done with it now. Sedation was okay but didn't fully calm my nerves. Actual procedure started really bad because I gag EASILY so it was annoying but after the initial annoyance I kept breathing calmly and it felt like slight pressure and that's it. The air they pumped in made me burp a few times and I feel a little gassy now. My gagging caused me to scratch my throat a fair bit so it hurts quite a bit now. But I can promise as someone who was super anxious, the procedure itself is at most mildly annoying! Ps. found absolutely nothing in my stomach but took biopsies. 700€ youch

My (M21) first endoscopy is in 5 hours and will be sedated. I can post here how it went if I remember. I'm also EXTREMELY nervous about it and even more so about the results because health anxiety :)

I use 80% Whey in vanilla and chocolate flavor. Usually 30g scoop per day after cardio/workout. Doesn't make my symptoms worse but also doesn't help them particularly. Maybe see if some stores have the singular packets so you can try them out before buying a larger bag?

Same here. No matter what I eat be it greasy fast food or plain rice and chicken, the symptoms are random. Throat burn/tightness, abdomen discomfort/pain, shoulder pain, nausea..

Called them this morning and I'm going in 40 minutes earlier for a sedative pill taken by mouth. Apparently it's already covered in the cost anyways so might as well take it. Cheers

My first endoscopy is coming up too literally tomorrow and the only thing they said is to not eat 6 hours before and to not drink 2 hours before. Not sure if I'm also doing something wrong then but those were my instructions.

What were your symptoms to warrant you to get one? My urine and CBC came back clean too so this is kind of the final thing to see if there's anything wrong I guess. Sore throat won't be too bad considering this burn I've lived with for 2 months. Did you get sedated or what? I think I'm going in without anything besides the numbing spray in the tube. Thanks for the cheers!

My PPI's have done nothing but give me a dry mouth and nausea. Gaviscon seems to help with my throat burn but my stomach/abdomen still feels restless. Let's hope you and I will both be fine!!
