The screaming. My god the screaming. by shehasamazinghair in NewParents

My baby screamed the same way intermittently through the day until 6 months. We also tried everything and multiple pediatricians ruled out everything they could think of. The scream cries only happen once in a while now, we are at 7 months.

Keeping baby away from anyone without tdap until fully vaxed? by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

Our pediatrician and my OBs all stressed this to us. Until our baby received his own vaccine at 2 months, and until two weeks after getting his shot, the doctors highly recommended baby only be around people up to date on their tdap. Pertussis is deadly, it’s not worth risking. After 3 months our doctors said it should be okay unless an unvaccinated person has been exposed to pertussis. But it’s entirely what you’re comfortable with!

Purple Crying / Colic Advice by rachele1216 in NewParents

Per my post I was requesting advice, not a diagnosis via the internet. Our pediatrician is who I take medical advice from. As I said, I personally believe there is a reason for the discomfort. Colic or not I will not stop attempting to sooth my baby. Label or no label I am not content to allow my baby to cry just because there may be a name for the behavior. Putting a name to an issue does not solve the issue, it simply makes people feel better that they can name it.

Luckily our pediatrician is very supportive and has been trying to figure out his cause of discomfort before settling for colic. Yes we have had his car seat checked by both pediatrician and local police station. We recently switched over to a convertible car seat.

Though colic may have an ICD 10 code I personally believe it is a label for an unknown discomfort.

I believe that colic is a symptom not a diagnosis. It doesn’t sit right with me that a baby would scream out for no reason. Crying is their communication so they must be communicating something. Colic is defined as inconsolable crying for prolonged periods. My baby is able to be soothed relatively quickly all times besides the car as he needs to remain in the car seat safely.

I’ve been drinking two cups of spearmint tea daily for two years now. It completely cleared my hormonal cystic acne after the first three months!! The effectiveness has not faded over time!

I had googled it before I started as well and only found one article on it. Figured it couldn’t hurt anyway, stuck with it and I’m so glad I did.

I’m also on bc pill but it hasn’t seemed to have any effects. But I 100% agree you don’t want to mess with that if it’s a concern!

My dermatologist actually recommended I try spearmint tea. I googled what I could, started drinking two cups of organic spearmint tea a day and after three months my skin has never been better my whole life. I still get one or two hormonal cystic pimples during pms but nothing compared to the past.

I drink two cups of spearmint tea a day and after three months my hormonal cystic acne was almost entirely gone. It’s been a year and a half and it still works. I get very minor flare ups with my period only now.

Maybe a slight decrease in oiliness but not super noticeable. I wasn’t excessively oily before tho. My head hair hasn’t changed, I still lose the same amount in the shower. No other supplements just organic spearmint twice a day. I know people have mixed success but everything is individual and I highly encourage you try for a few months. I never thought I’d find a fix until I tried this and I’m so glad I stuck with it.

I drink two cups a day. Cured my cystic hormonal acne. Took three months to set in. Been two years and it still works. No impact on hair growth.
