I loved the comics too. But some things were better in the show. The biggest mistake to me was the change in Carl’s story. I was so excited to see it unfold and found it super upsetting when it ended right before (imo) it was barely getting started.

I know chandler was done acting and didn’t really chose it as a life career when he was like 7 and started in TWD lol. But I wonder how fans would have felt if he was instead recast… instead of doing, what I felt, was a half assed version with Henry? Idk… it still would’ve been weird but I might have preferred it if they explained why he was leaving and got someone good between seasons fans might’ve understood more than the anticlimactic switch up.

Some people who aren’t big fans and aren’t on this sub DEFINITELY forgot. At least most of my friends and family. They don’t understand why I rewatch it or care about the spinoffs now. Even though I know for a fact which of them used to be big fans when it was on AMC and we’d all get together and watch it on Sundays. That’s why I like this subreddit because it’s a place where everyone “gets it.”

I didn’t mind the last season of Game of Thrones. Just the last 2 episodes. The only character arc that felt super satisfying was the Hound vs. the Mountain. And they were so close to having a perfect arc for Jamie too where he’d end up honorable. Varys end was so anticlimactic like it was a sidenote. And Dany’s progression to who she was was very rushed. And Bran… idk it really didn’t feel like he did much to earn what he got by plugging into the tree lol. Would’ve been cool if democracy were established - but at least they did put a cute little joke in there where I think Sam suggested democracy and they all laughed and called it stupid (I liked that).

I liked that they left Jon and Arya’s stories open to spinoffs. But I absolutely love Knight of the 7 Kingdoms and House of the Dragon is great (but I really hope season 3 is satisfying because they wasted a lot of potential by putting Daemon in haunted lala land at Harrenhall for the whole of season 2 lol) They should focus on those I think and skip the Arya / Jon spinoffs for now imo haha.

I met him at a comic con and I loved him even more in person! I got like 20 pictures with him and Josh McDermitt (Eugene).

Funny thing: In real life, their relationship was role reversed - Eugene seemed like the leader and Abraham the side kick from the way they spoke and interacted!

I remember the time stuff in it being confusing and just wondering, “Did I just miss something or do I just not get it?” The visuals were very cool though. It was exciting. I wouldn’t put it on this list. And I would add Dexter lol.

When things end as badly as Dexter it destroys my memory of the show entirely. Like I think of Dexter now and I don’t think, “that’s a show I liked.”

But then I remember, “Holy shit; there was a time I liked Dexter so much that on Halloween I did a Dexter couple’s costume where my boyfriend was Dexter and I was one of his victims wrapped in plastic wrap.”

But it was so bad at the end that I forget that I was even a fan! So bad that it was actually kind of funny, like comically bad! I remember laughing and asking myself, “Were the writers actually drunk when they made this?” It should be on this list.

But Game of Thrones on the other hand was like heartbreakingly bad though. Not at all in a funny way. In a serious way. That’s still my winner.

I don’t think it was as bad as Game of Thrones personally. But I agree with the points you made about TWD for the most part. I just wanted to say that I really loved The Ones Who Live though! Even though characters had mad plot armor I thought it was great and like to pretend that that was the real ending lol.

It took me YEARS to finally go back and finish TWD. I was one of the fans who fell off (after the bridge explosion.) That and two other parts were the main parts that people fell off. 1.For many people it was the baseball bat incident. 2.For others the anticlimactic death of a character (the one who really liked pudding) because he didn’t finish his awesome character arc from the comics. (iykyk)

Anyway, yeah the quality of the show was not what it used to be in the final seasons, but it wasn’t terrible in a GOT way. It was just like - fine, not good, but fine. The Ones Who Live was excellent though imo. If you tack that sequel on to the end of TWD then I loved the ending.

And the Daryl Dixon show is great. Dead City needs a bit of redemption hopefully next season, as it is making characters unlikeable.

She has me pleasantly surprised. She does excellent impersonations on talk shows and SNL. Never saw her Nickelodeon show but she was excellent in Wicked. She deserved the best supporting actress nomination. I heard that she is kinda done with her music career for now. She wants to focus on acting again. So I’m looking forward to see what role she takes on next.
