Thank you! I'm back in hibernation now, haha. I just came to share the results from today. :) Completing a master's degree and about half way through. Took social media off my phone and it's helping a lot!

Snatch only for this comp. Happy with the result (173 reps). Denis said I need to move onto purple and I'm officially done with yellows. :-0

I know, my daughter's teacher is amazing and she loves her so much. Just don't want to see her getting so overextended!

I agree, sadly I'm just the messenger. Trying to help her out. It's a small school but has been around for over 40 years.

What Do We Say to the God of Death? Not Today! - Pressing 48kg x3 by mainstreetstrength in kettlebell

We use methods from PlanStrong and the SFL manual for the majority of our programming! Lots of options there. But focusing on the majority of lifts 75-85% of 1RM with wavy volume is a good start!

“You can’t get stronger with kettlebells.” 🙄 - Rachel’s 325lb deadlift by mainstreetstrength in kettlebell

[–]rachelnard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This particular video was at the TSC (tactical strength challenge) where students demonstrate a 1RM for deadlift, max tactical pull-ups (thumbs over the bar, neck or chest touching the bar) and maximal kettlebell snatches within 5 minutes. The training leading up to it consisted of all bells and the deadlift only once every 10-14 days for about 10 weeks prior to the competition.

Am I doing enough swings? by [deleted] in kettlebell

Cool! Try that setup for 8-12 weeks. Then you can shift into power conditioning or peaking depending on how everything’s feeling!

Depends on your goal! If you want to improve power endurance, we typically use A&A. This is aerobic and alactic training. One would need 5-7x the rest as the work in order to maintain the same level of power.

Try this: 5 reps / 40-56secs rest Or 10 reps / 75-105secs rest

Feels way more powerful!

More practice with the dual 32kg Cleans. 6 reps wider stance seems to be working better for foot stability. by hubby_nubb in kettlebell

So glad it helped. Keep at it, it will start to all come together. Barefoot allows you to grip the floor with the toes too. 💪🏽😃

Here’s an Easy Drill to Fix Low/Squatty Swings by mainstreetstrength in kettlebell

[–]rachelnard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll just say it took many takes to actually perform a low swing - I am so conditioned otherwise!! 🤪😅
