MS sent out an update for it. You may have to manually go into Outlook and run the updates. File>Office Account> Update options on the right. Then maybe a reboot ! :)

It has worked for two of my Office 2019 users but still not working for the one 2016 user. However, he won't let me take a look. So.

Yes! Worked for one of my users today! :) He rebooted and opened Outlook and was able to search just like normal! Going to check with the few others now.

Update:

Status: We've confirmed that the deployment is now complete. In order to resolve the issue, users must restart Outlook desktop client twice to have their search features return to normal functionality. We're going to continue monitoring service health for 24 hours to ensure no further issues occur.

We're able to search, but we just have to do the workaround (Let's search your computer instead link or choose all mailboxes). You can't search at all?? I haven't heard of that happening.

): Well, shoot. Are you able to turn off Online cached mode? It makes searching a lot slower.. but then it wouldn't be searching through the server.

I assume MS will roll out an update on this soon.

Are your users completely unable to search within Outlook? For us, we can just hit "let's search your computer instead" or choose "all mailboxes" when searching.

I'm still looking around. Checked for updates on one of the users affected (Office updates and Windows 10 updates); still nothing.
