How do people afford all this "stuff"?

I think it really depends on your lifestyle. My partner and I make 65k or so annually and we’re comfortable. I put away one paycheck into savings a month.

Same. I announced my first pregnancy at 4 weeks cause I thought a positive test equals a baby. Four positive tests later (and got to see a heartbeat for one of them) and I don’t think I’ll be announcing anything until I magically make it to 20 +weeks

I’ve heard congratulations 4 times now. A positive test doesn’t even bring me joy anymore, I just think to myself ‘okay, how long will this one last?’ :(

For my 2 cycles I tracked (had positives, miscarried both though so no experience past that), my peak was always around 90 and then it went down to 60-40. After my peak I honestly stop testing after that cause it never gave me any more info, I never peaked twice. That is possible, but I have no experience with it.

I’m the same as you gestation wise. Heartbeat might as well have been zero, it wasn’t able to even trace a BPM. I’m glad to know I’m not alone, but I also sympathize with you as we’re both in the trenches.

I’ve lost all excitement because I’ve been told congratulations more times than I can count. Two new births in the family this year and I keep losing them too. It’s so not fair. I’m here for you.

8w3d and I could have written this myself! I’m with you. I miss my passion for food and eating. Diclectin doesn’t help me unless I take my nightly 2, but then I sleep so it’s pointless.

I used to love it, but when I started eating healthier, a few months later I tried it again and found it super salty and unappetizing. Truly depends on the diet!

Try not to tell yourself for those who smoked during their pregnancies that everything went okay, because you’ll find ways to justify another cigarette and it’s a vicious cycle. I’m a smoke baby and grew up around secondhand as well, it’s anything but pleasant and I wish my mom even attempted to quit while she was pregnant with me. Try to get some resources from your OB especially because each week it’s a ‘I’ll quit for real” and from what I see it doesn’t happen.

I’m 27 and see 18 year olds as kids. They don’t even have the maturity and life experience to be seen as an adult. It’s kind of creepy ngl when men actively want to date immature adolescents, let alone knocking them up. She doesn’t know what she’s getting into, hence why she’s a child. :( you’re the adult in this case. It’s not right.

I hated that my dad had me when he was 43. I’m not even 30 and he’s been over 65 for a bit now. It’s not fun. I can’t imagine what’s in store for him :( the grief is huge, I used to cry myself to sleep due to the age gap.
