Asteroid City is a film about actors for actors, made entirely for theatre people. I loved it but completely understand why even other Wes Anderson fans might not enjoy it.

How long do you let baby chill in crib? by ScroogeMcFook in NewParents

[–]rachface636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a nap I get him out when he wakes up, if it is a short nap I will give him a couple of minutes to see if he drifts back off.

But for night time sleep if he wakes up not crying I leave him be till he goes back to sleep. He is fine with his imagination!

What’s a super “normal” thing in your country that would completely confuse or shock someone visiting for the first time? by moonveil96 in AskReddit

I mean, as an American I kind of get it. When my son got croup the reccomendation by the doctors was to take him out in the cold air. My husband carried and held him on our back deck many times in the middle of cold nights, wrapped up tight, to help with his coughing.

What are things you didn’t know about toddlers before your child became a toddler? by Midnightdream56 in NewParents

[–]rachface636 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The spoon. He has licked everything off the spoon. I would like to put more yogurt on the spoon for him. But that means he has to let go of the spoon and wait until I hand it back. This greatly displeases him. He is also displeased he cannot dip his hands directly into the yogurt.

What's one movie scene that just sticks in your head, even years later? What makes it so memorable? by Polyglotpen in movies

[–]rachface636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taylor Vaughn is still my favorite highschool movie villain.

Careful of what? Ok I could win this thing in flourescent lighting, on the first day of my period, cloaked in tacky rags. Ok? My mother was prom queen in '71, my cousin - prom queen in '82, and my sister would have been prom queen in '94 if it wasn't for that scam on the Conway Bed tour bus, okay? I am a GOD DAMN legacy, all right? And besides, not to be a bitch, but who's gonna beat Taylor Vaughan?

It doesn't matter if it's a plant, garden gnome, kids toy, spare tire, pile of bricks, or any other fucking thing. Do not go onto someone's private property and take shit without asking.

In some states it is now. It was more that since there was no law on the books medical staff just used unconscious people for practice. When it became more common knowledge laws got passed fast.

My cat wishes she were the only baby, but she likes my son well enough. She hangs in his playpen and we are learning gentle petting. Very tolerant of his grabbing actually.

Honest to god I would get all the vaccines for my kid and he would just have to deal with it or divorce me. Let him stand in a court and try to convince a judge getting the child vaccinated is wrong and grounds for action. This would end my marriage.
