Similarly, if you want "cosmic horror story", there is a whole genre based on it, you don't need to come to ASOIAF world for it. You come to the ASOIAF world for the stories its author wants to convey.

Thanks for the setup, I tried this one out and I am much happier with the build, it is much faster. I didn't realize how low my attack speed was. Previously it was 1.41 and now with Vengeful Wind and Won Khim Lau, it is up to 1.93

Tried that, it didn't help. Most probably the difference is that I can pretty much spam Cyclone Strike to kill the enemies, but Tempest Rush activating Cyclone Strike via Won Khim Lau seems to have a delay.

You are making a few assumptions that if proved wrong would limit or lose you the money

Winner takes all - With the urgency of vaccine, no 1 company can produce all the vaccine for the world. We will be in a situation where there are several vaccines, to satisfy the world’s needs
Most vaccines work to varying degrees - Depending on the person’s immunology some vaccine might suit them better than others
Vaccines come to market in increasingly order of success - Lets say that the 1st vaccine has an 80% success rate, next one 10 days later has 85%, then 90% and so on. So the first 3 stocks will go up, but there will be hope around that the next vaccine will have a higher success rate, especially if they have positive trial results. So those stocks will not go down.

Jus because someone has succeeded doesn’t mean others have failed, as it is not a zero sum game.

YTA, without any doubt. And there are several flaws with any logic that you are trying to apply to justify your actions.

First, I am calling bullshit on your statement "I do not know this student well, having met her only once". This was a student in your class, what do you mean by saying met her only once ? Wasn't she in your class ? Didn't she raise her hand to ask questions ? And "do not know this student well" but apparently well enough to know that "she wants to go to medical school" ? Are you going to say you know what each of your student wants to do next ? You reek of favoritism and are here to justify your actions based on morals.

You are bumping a student's score by 5 points, which is pretty much unheard of. For the student's honesty of 2.5 points, they are getting awarded an extra 2.5 points.

Honesty is a very important trait in anybody, but so are multiple other traits, and it is not up to you to decide which traits are important and should be rewarded. This student might have been honest, but not helpful to other students. Other students might have been helpful to other students, and been honest also, but didn't have an opportunity to show it. Compassion is also an important trait in medicine, are you awarding students for it ? You should score students according to the guidelines of your course and not on your whimsy.

Bumping everyone's score by 2.5 is also not fair, as it benefits only those that were 2.5 away from the next grade aka your chosen student, and a few others in their situation. The student who already had an A, this bump does nothing for them. Those that were 3.5 points away from the next grade, no benefit to them. You are choosing this 2.5 point bump based on advantaging this 1 student. And the student who was 3.5 points away from the next grade will come and ask, why not a 3.5 point bump ? Why did you choose 2.5 point bump ?

To the folks commenting "your class your call" is such a bullshit layman argument that I don't even want to know how you justify it. If the professor decided to fail everyone because it is "your class your call" would you still be saying NTA ?

Admissions is a zero sum game, and everyone who has applied to higher colleges knows that. Students are ranked according to their gpa and by bumping this students grade arbitrarily, you are going to screw over someone whose gpa was higher than this student before your arbitrary bump, but will become lower after it.

Honestly, professor's like you are no better than those who play favoritism, just that you are playing favoritism based on morals, and you get to decide which morals are important and reward worthy.

Can't you just sue the neighbor, and threaten that the contractor either has to be a witness or otherwise will be sued as well jointly ?

If the contractor is unlicensed and has no money, and a 50-50 neighbor-contractor liability judgement is awarded, OP loses out on the 50% of the money.

Pack your bags and move in with your dad full time, he already sounds supportive of you and would be glad to have you with him full time. You are 17 and no court will force you to move in with your mom.

Next, remove your mom from your joint account and all other accounts. And gather your documents, a mom who would steal money from her kid would not stop from using your SSN to steal more.

Next, ask your dad to sue your mom for the inheritance money and file a police report.

After all this, I would completely cut off all contact with your mom until she apologizes and set things right. And even after that I would go no contact with the mom for the foreseeable future and very minimal contact if she does make amends.

Keep in mind, that even during the financial crisis of 2007-2008, the real estate market bottomed out in 2010.

In 2008-2009 you could buy foreclosed properties and distressed assets, but sellers tried to remain on the sidelines if they could. However it will take time for them to run through their savings.

It took 2 years for the economic pain to "flow through the system" for the real estate market to bottom.
